Qantas Cash Card

I do still think this card has its use. For small things such as Kindle books or any service where you don't want to give your credit cards. But the rate is generally a bit poorer than the OzForex travel card.

I use it to avoid the JQ credit card fee of $8.50 on bookings. From a tablet or desktop use Google Chrome to access the 'Jetstar mobile app' & select Mastercard debit card as form of payment.

You then enter the 16 digit QF cash nbr and should then see 'no charges apply'. I couldn't do this from my Samsung S4 but iphones may be okay - if not use tablet etc.

Just to add, if you are using the Jetstar Mobile site you can avoid the Booking and Service fee by paying with any debit MasterCard, not just Qantas Cash.

Yes it's annoying they don't do visa debit cards though.

Very true
Just wondering besides QCash & Bank West (well, kind of), are there any other debit Master Cards that will earn points?

Did a bank transfer yesterday (Tue) about 1630 from ANZ to QF cash card expecting it to go into my account Thu am.

Got an email this morning at 0821 telling me my bank transfer is now complete & there it was!

Sad to report another dead chip whilst I was overseas. Super annoying!

Fortunately only £33.80 left on the card but annoyed that QF made 3% when I transferred funds onto the card and another 3% when I took my trapped money back to my bank account.

With HSBC now seemingly working for bank transfers, I did one on Saturday at about 01:00 (so after business hours and on a weekend), and haven't seen my money since. Usually I do a BPAY around then and expect to see my money by Wednesday... but it's looking like it's going to be the same length of time with the bank transfer, which isn't good. :(

You should have seen that Tuesday. That's my experience with weekend transfers. Looks as if something's amiss with your individual transaction. It's always worked as promised for me.

Well there's still the rest of today I suppose... but usually I get the emails in the morning, so that's why I'm concerned.

That might be the issue -- the email follows the transaction a day later in my experience. Have you checked the card? You might find the payment is there right now.

It's not arrived yet ;)

Edit: It finally arrived at 12:27 and did indeed end up in my junk mailbox. Probably the latest I've had something arrive.

So is this classed as a DEBIT card?
Bank account--->to Q mastercard---->to pay for items that are Debit mastercard only?
Any promos for activating and using it at the moment?
This classed as a CREDIT CARd or DEBIT card by business?
Does the Q Cash Mastercard have a Inactive fee like the Global Wallet card?

Its a prepaid card, not a real credit card, similar to a debit card.
One good thing about the QCC is that it now has bank transfer to put money into it, takes faster than VGW, which needs "approval" and approval can take 3 days.
I guess you can give your employer the BSB and account number and the pay would be in the QCC in 1.5 days, ... have not tried it, but would love to see if it works, but don't dare.
As for inactivity fee, I would not let it get like that.
But that, I can't get a true credit card from a bank, who would issue (in Australia) a credit card to a dog, no matter if the dog is a working one or not!.
So the QCC is the best thing, in my case since sliced bread.
They have not brought in, in Australia, promotions (ongoing) where you earn 1 point per Aud$1 spent, which is a pity, its always 0.5 points per Aud$1 spent in Australia. I am using my own money and the issueing bank or who ever runs it, Heritage Credit Union/Bank won't, or Qantas won't give 1:1 earn ratio.
If you (Plant) do hold a Westpac or NAB or other real credit card, use that rather than the QCC. While QCC has no annual fee, the earn rate, if you have other choices of credit cards, the QCC earn rate is not great. Overseas is good, but for spents in Australia, no.
I have the QCC and the VGW.

The processing systems locally at this stage class prepaid as equalling debit.
