Not quite as the Olympics finishes on the 12th August, so it's inside the August period. and It doesn't start until the 27th July and July is out too

Might have something to do with the kids being out of school for a couple of weeks in July (with the exception of Tasmania but that's a different country anyway) :mrgreen:

Well at least i feel special, being one of the few that - haven't - received the email :shock:
Stats: PS, have never received any QF offers, no recent CX flights...

OK - I'll bite.

I just tipped over 1200 SCs with a flight on - you guessed it CX

This QF year I will have earned 1300ish SCs of which 720 have been on CX (240 to come tomorrow) with the balance being QF domestic flexi savers SYD-MEL-SYD generally.

I do have forward bookings on QF including a SYD-HKG-SYD flight which I think will get double SCs as well.

I am also just about to ticket a SYD-LHR-SYD which if it goes ahead will be June 30 departure from SYD but a July return.

I didn't receive the email, my anniversary is 31st March. I am WP and have 20 SC's as of Monday.

I received the email as a PS with 450SCs and an anniversary of 30th Apr - no CX activity or future CX bookings - all flight activity has been QF except for one BA J flight.

Though I've noticed this down the bottom:

Bonus Status credits may take up to 6 weeks after completion of your travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Does this mean that they may simply take this long to show up in the account, or rather that the system will treat the SCs as being earned on the date that they hit the account?

So for flights taken during Apr (before my membership anniversary):

Would the bonus SCs apply to the current membership year (ie. when the qualifying flights took place), or is there a risk that the system may count them towards the Apr '12-13 year?

... could easily make WP with a few JASAs, but I don't want to risk being stuck as an SG if I'm using up points haha

I expect that they will credit as at the date of the flight.

None for me, I haven't fown CX since 2007. All upcoming booked flights are with QF.

I got te offer also and have a JASA/FASA BNE-SYD-BKK return starting tomorrow is there any way I can cancel and rebook the tickets? It's an extra 440 sc's that would take me from 10 to 890 re qualify me for gold and give me a good chance at platinum. Is it worth a call to the call centre to see if it's possible my travel partner already has a double sc promotion and these flights will qualify him for platinum, so I'd hate to drop ack down to PS

I got the offer in WA......First time for a 2x Status Credit offer!

Pain in the but though, just booked a head of Business class travel (self funded) all around Aus and then off to London in J! All been booked for the stated periods.....but from reading the T&C it looks like only new bookings get the 2x SC's which kind of sucks but ah well have to wait till I get back from Europe with Gold then do nothing with it

Edit: See the other thread regarding this: Would have been nice to include ALL Bookings that are completed/travelled during this period as I assume most business travel is already booked for people etc, wish Qantas would look after it's most loyal customers sometimes, be nice to get some feedback from Red Roo on why previous bookings are included in this offer.

Why would they include previous bookings? They want additional revenue in return for giving out SC's surely.

Nothing for me...my status year started on 1 April so I currently have 0 SCs. Just dropped back to SG from WP. HWMBO got the offer about 7pm last night. We have all the same forward travel booked (no CX flights planned or taken). He's also SG with 500 SC this year and another 8 months to go. Have a JASA we booked in February for August to Frankfurt which I'll be keeping an eye on with a view to cancelling and rebooking to get him 560SCs if the availability opens up again. We usually travel together so as long as one of us is WP, I'll be happy.

Qantas double status credits promotion

Qantas sent out a promotion email yesterday on earning double status credits on eligible QF flights and for some reasons I didn't get one. I am Gold and I know that a couple of collegues, one is Bronze and one is Plat, both received the email.

Does anyone know whether Qantas only offer this to selected customers only?

Nothing for me. 100 SC to go to requal for WP with year ending 30-june.

Looks like I'll make sure I requal then put everything to DJ to take advantage of their offer...

Last year I didn't get the offer by email, I got it by post a few weeks after everyone else got their emails. Something to do with my Qantas profile preferences I think. I had just enough time to book some flights last year before it expired.

I wouldn't necessarily despair if you haven't received the offer by email.

Can anyone please answer this definitively please? I booked some Flexi Savers yesterday at 3 pm (flying next week) and then received and registered for the offer at 6 pm. Will I get double SCs on those flights? Thanks.

On a previous bonus they took an average of 4 days for the bonus to hits the account but did not mention the date of the flight - YMMV. I suspect QF are just giving themselves some leeway with the 6 weeks.
