Qantas extends status extensions until end June 2023 (previously December 2022)

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere in this long, long thread.

My year end is 31 Mar. I have retained WP until 31 March 2024 by earning 1545 SC. Of these SC, 1060 are directly from flying and the rest are from last year’s DSC offer.

I am assuming I will be eligible for the 500 SC rollover, although I note the T&Cs say that people who retain by earning the required number of SC “may be eligible”. from experience of those with Jan 23 and Feb 23 end dates, is it certain that you get the roll over if you earn your retained status?

Just want to know how many flights I need to book before tomorrow to secure next year’s WP with a combination of new DSC bookings and the rollover I “may” be eligible for. I already booked enough if I get the 500 roll over, but if I don’t get it for some reason, I will be short….

Those of you who just started a new year and requalified/gifted the same level - did you get a physical card this year? Website says it was only paused until Dec 22 due to 'Rona.

I received my card today (New year starts 01 April) but I put money on my card back in 2020 when they paused it, so I haven't missed out on a card yet.

You can order a new card online in the Account section. If you have enacted the money option then you need to call

I know Qantas Money users could get them (that's how I got mine) - are you saying it's opt in now for everybody else? Not automatic?

We didn't receive cards for two years during Covid, and nothing last year. Not sure if you need to opt in now to get one but we did Last year. Our end is April 30, will be a test to see if we have to still opt in. It was an issue for us in Edinburgh because the lounge person was extremely reluctant to accept our digital cards so when we returned in June (so two months post anniversary) we opted in to get a physical card. I have money attached but husband doesn't. But neither card came last April anniversary until we opted in.

Oh - that's why I was asking those who already renewed.

The link here says the pause was only until Dec 22. I just wanted to see if it had actually been lifted (out of curiosity - I already have my new card)

I hope that's the case. It won't arrive in time for our trip os in April this year. However I haven't heard here of anyone getting one this year.

Anyone ever had any success sweet talking their way into Qantas First Lounge - my QFF Platinum expires end July this year. I have a trip booked to Europe mid August ... really would love 'one last meal'.
Wondering if I will have any luck pleading my case with a smile at the Lounge desk of 'hope you can do me one last favour'?

I wouldn't count on it.

Zero chance unless your Plat status still happens to show on your QFF profile - it can hang around for a week or so in case you have any late July flights which still need to credit. If you're able to OLCI you should do so the moment it opens.

You might have more luck seeing if someone can guest you in or looking out for a pass giveaway. They tend to enforce entry quite strictly.

Hi fellow AFFs,

Just wanting to check for correct understanding of the last trench of Qantas Status Extension and SC Rollovers to better utilise this latest DSC offer.

With my membership year ending Aug, I got QFF Platinum status extended to Aug 2023. However, as I’ve so far earned ~1200 from flying since last Sep, my understanding that I’m going to keep Platinum status till Aug 2024. And with SC Rollover from this current membership year contributing 500 SC to my count for Sep 2023- Aug 24 membership year, I only need 700 SC earn between Sep 23- Aug 24 to enjoy Platinum till Aug 25.

Is this correct???

No, you've already had your rollover. Last rollover ends Jun 23.

I was under the impression that the last SC rollover will be for the end of June 2023 (that is to say, you won't have status rollover for your Sep 23~ status year. You should've gotten a rollover last year, into your current status year.

Ok, thanks.

Better book more DSC flights then.

Same with receiving physical card each year as we have €&£ loaded.
