So I postulate our usage generated the (now banked) 500 bonus points each.
This could be the case, my wife seems to have got the 500 points and has been using the card for a while. Whereas, I haven't used my card, but had registered it, and only bothered with linking our cards when the QFF deal was officially annouced. I haven't got 500 points yet.

So much for theories on how/why someone is targeted for an offer. It would be interesting to know if lovetravellingoz's 3 children were regular shoppers/users of the Everyday Rewards card....

No they were not. Basically inactive after first signing up.

However all were QFF members.

One side-benefit of this program for me is that I have used it to have "activity" in two of my daughters accounts that had not had "paid" activity for over two years.

This is quite handy as my likely redemptions for the next few years look likely to be on SQ with the QF accounts just accumulating points that I cannot divert to SQ or BMI. that is unless they offer the Upogrades off cheap fares again.

I am keeping the QF points a for a RTW (2 or more in J) but won't have the time for that for a bit.

I didn't think i'd get much value out of this offer, as we usually spend around $100 each trip to the local IGA, untill I went to Woolies with my wife last week.

Upon reaching the checkout I enquired about the promotion and was given a card. I was then told that I wouldn't be able to earn points it untill I had registered. Our shopping came to over $600

If you'd done that at Coles today you would of got a 40c per litre discount voucher for fuel (I heard Woolworths matched the offer as well)!

That really sucks, that would of been a good deal of points... however if you'd read up on it first, you'd have been fine... or you could of quickly nipped off to an internet cafe, registered and linked and continued shopping within 5-10 mins.

I feel insignificant.....

I got my three miles/points posted last week.

But I will either
1. Trade cards with my wife when she gets back from overseas
2. Make certain she registers......

But then I made a choice of a FF program that I figured was more suited to the cabin I normally fly in........

Well last week I got QFF points for my pre paid Telstra broadband top up-paid it on top of the $35 grocery bill I had.So $50 on the prepaid gets me 50 QFF points and 47 Aadvantage miles as I paid with my DC.At my point valuations gives me $4.32 value for my $50 purchase.

I have just been on a long telephone queue with everyday rewards but I was determined to hang on. I finally got to speak to someone to sort out my account. (had log in problems).

I can now login. I asked about the 500 rewards bonus and she said I was entitled to them as I joined up on 22/6/09 (prior to the 25/6/09 required date). I have not received the bonus points yet but I should get them within a month. (we'll see)

When looking at my account I noticed that when I purchased groceries and liquor on the same shopping trip each bill was deucted the $30 before points were applied. Even though this was done in the same store.

That is correct as you had two separate transactions.

To get on the one 30 deduction you need to "hold" the sale at one check-out and pay for for your liquor and groceries at the other - with the one transaction.

See posts #385 to #392 earlier in this thread.

That's useful to know. Maybe they have so many accounts registered in that time frame that the process is just moving along slowly.

Hoping I get my 500 bonus points at some point.

BIG W comes online today

Big W started offering points for tx above $30 today.

Get even more rewards at BIG W! We’re pleased to announce that you can now earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points at BIG W stores nationally when you present your Everyday Rewards card.

That's more than me guys so your lucky. However that's cause I never spend over $30 because I only buy 1 or 2 green bags at a time. I have been shopping at Woolworths the majority of the time however lately I've been to Coles and have got some great buys with there 'price cut' scheme. For me the dollar value is more appealling :)

Great to have BIGW onboard now as I would go there for big ticket items but unfortunately there's not as many stores in the Perth metro area compared to Target/Kmart.
