I've got 42 points from this promo.

No, I did not make that up :p  (for those of you that know a little nerd humour).

It did help that I had to buy an Optus pre-paid recharge the other day, so that knocked out the min-$30 rule plus a bit more.

I did it today. Try to use the checkout closest to the liquor department, then your checkout check can just walk in with you and your trolley and tell the liquor assistant you have a saved transaction you need to pay for with your liquor.

Sensational, this will get me a few thousand more points now, as the $30 MIN is eliminated for my liquor purchases

In my case I will prefer to save the cash up front by buying most of my grog from Dan Murhy's or First Choice where in the main the prices are much better......and the wine and beer choices more extensive...

Would be nice if DM's sign up too.

It would be nice if DM's were closer than 55km away from us :!:

Having said that they are not always the cheapest in any case.

I'm finally in the game, having just earned 30 points

Gotta love when things are on special, stock up on them (non-perishables).

I only buy wine from Woolies when it is on sale and then I buy in BULK

I have been shopping at Woolworths the majority of the time however lately I've been to Coles and have got some great buys with there 'price cut' scheme. For me the dollar value is more appealling :)

I am not sure the the 'price cut' thing is any different to the normal weekly specials, just look like a repackaging of that to me. Having said that, I am more certainly more driven by price that by getting QFF points, so I don't expect to be gainig lots of points through this. Fortunately Woolworths/Safeway do have useful specials for me as well!

Ditto, I tend to alternate between Coles & Woolworths depending on what is on special.

It would appear they haven't rounded in my favour.
$59.75 -> 29 points.

It's the equivalent of Woolworths group "rollbacks" I think. The only distinction I see with those is that they are available slightly longer than a special (which is usually 1-4 weeks).

Similar - see earlier post about points accrual! Woolworths are probably my least preferred though it goes up and down a bit. One issue is they're big on multi-buys which tend not to be as good as regular specials.

Dear oz_mark,
Earn double Qantas Frequent Flyer points - ends Sunday!

Shop at Woolworths, Safeway Supermarkets or BIG W from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th July* and you can earn double Qantas Frequent Flyer points!

It may be. I didn't get that e-mail message so they must figure my accruals so far make me a lost cause!

I think it will be sent to everyone to really annoy Coles!

Coles are further and further behind each month

Old looking stores
No self-serve checkouts
No Qantas points
Their current adds saying "It all adds up" doesn't mean a thing to me.

Added to that both Coles and Woolies are getting scared of Costco opening in a few weeks in MEL.

It's been very interesting watch Coles & Woolies try to get consumers to buy more and in larger quantities. EG Buy 2 get the 3rd free or 2 for $5 etc etc

So from Thursday to Sunday double Qantas FF points. Looks like I'll be having another big shop on batteries, toiletries, canned foods, dog food, cleaning products and other items that don't go out of date.

A new Woolies has opened near me and they have a nice range of homewares, such as bath mats and other items which do come in handy

A VERY nice way to get more FF points for me

I expect to easily get 1000 QF points from this weekends shop, and of course combined with my SQ Westpac card a nice 1500 SQ points :)

umm, Could say the same about woolies where i live.

but nice little earn to keep SWMBO's QFF account ticking over. I haven't been checking but she has got at least 750 including the 500 sign on bonus, should be another for 4 or 500 from double points this weekend.
