Yeah,I would have thought the benefits of PC+ for a WP outweighed the 2 x lounge passes they no longer receive to pass on.

I guess the value of rewards will depend on the individual. If you don't travel for leisure, hotel vouchers are not very useful. If you don't drink, the wine vouchers are useless. If you prequalify for status easily, the carry forward of PCs is meaningless. If you only fly in business, lounge access is of no benefit...

I didn't have to pay postage - I believe all PC and PCP members get a complimentary premium membership (which means free delivery on all orders)

Oh interesting! I logged into my account and it specifically said my two vouchers did not come with a minimum spend requirement - and I was able to check out without spending more. What kind of vouchers did I have?!

True - I'm probably just a bad example of the individual!

I travel exclusively for leisure at the moment, but hotel status benefits - which are generally not guaranteed on 3rd party bookings - almost always outweigh the voucher savings for mine; so I only book direct, and give away the vouchers (usually on here). When travelling for business, I book hotels via corporate agent. I rarely drink wine or spirits, and haven't ever been able to find value in much else as a gift on QF Wine, but will try again once PCP with the higher discount and vouchers. I don't need QP access, and don't need lounge passes, but it was nice to be able to assign to family travel.

Regardless of all this - I do like the SC earn on classic awards... the 100SCs might end up coming in handy as QFF backs away from status care packages.... and... it's cool to have the extra layer on my QFF status gateaux as a QFF WP LTS GT PCP member

They removed the min spend a little while but do check each one.

How long after reaching points club plus does it usually take for Qantas club membership to be issued? I hit PC+ about a week ago and can see PC+ in my Qantas app but nothing about Qantas club. I can also see I still have my pleb 23kg baggage allowance for my next flight.

This is true - I haven't been anywhere of late that has that challenge, but certainly there could be times where I do!

True - my preferred property in Port Douglas is an independent, same price to book via Qantas Hotels as direct but comes with ~15k QFF points. No brainer.

But also where the benefit of booking through award program you have status with is questionable.

Case in point, I had status with All Accor (Gold) and IHG (Diamond) and was looking for a hotel in Chicago. IHG had no properties. Whilst Accor did (Sofitel or Fairmont) the Accor+ benefits dont apply in the USA (even though it has a pacific coastline), you also dont get the bonus QF points for accor bookings outside of Asia Pacific and the cost to book the room with Accor was well over USD$500 more than same room through QF hotels (which came with some 15k QFF points). So was a welcome drink and chance (not guarantee) of an upgrade worth sacrificing USD$500 and 15k QFF points, of course not.

If I am PC+ and fly on Qantas metal with a CX issued reward seat (ie via former Asia miles, eTicket starts with 160), then I will not earn any SCs, right?

You will earn if it's QF marketed QF operated.

It's actually just QF marketed in the T&Cs (see below for extract), but I guess when looking at QF classic awards, they would all be QF operated as well, right? I wonder if anyone has any experience with what @exLXCXFF asks; an award seat book via any other source than QF, but with theQF flight number. Did these credit PC SCs?...

My reading of that is that the rewards must be Qantas Classic Flight Rewards - i.e. not booked through partner airlines' reward schemes.
