Qantas Status Credits Boost

Would be good if we can earn SC from shopping online. It's not easy to travel with all these restrictions

PS no-where does it define 'Eligible member'.

Press the link at the end of the paragraph; "Status Credit Boost"

Who's eligible for the Status Credit Boost?
All Platinum One, Platinum, Gold and Silver Qantas Frequent Flyer members with a status end date of March 2021 through to February 2022. This includes members on Lifetime Status, Status Hold, members who have received complimentary Gold membership, or complimentary Platinum membership from a Platinum One member.

I can also definitively answer the question about being counted toward lifetime status:
What will the Status Credit Boost count towards?
The Status Credit Boost will contribute towards reaching and keeping Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One and to further show our appreciation it will also contribute towards reaching Lifetime Silver, Lifetime Gold and Lifetime Platinum status...

The offer took me to LTS in a blink.
Would be nice if it took me to LTP in a blink. >_<

Joined QFF mid 2006. Had LTG by end 2010. Then "Simpler and fairer" happened, which took my normal earning from getting enough SC for P1 (only missing it due to QFSC requirement) to getting 1.3x the required earn for WP. I have 28 years at my 2019/20 SC earn before getting LTP. @_@

I just got the e-mail, as a Plat, with anniversary in February 2021. Using the calculator, it tells me I will get 600SCs in March 2021. That's appreciated, but as I have my status extended already to Feb 2022, I guess its good for Life Time count only (although I have LTG already). Not complaining by any means, just a data point.

But this DOES help you.

Your status is extended till Feb 22.. you receive the boost of 600 in March 2021, which will count towards your status for 2022-2023. What am I missing? (probably a lot!)

Sweet, just booked our Port Douglas week using this deal and has excellent inclusions, used points so a free stay! And Status credits included!
Were you able to locate prior to booking how many SC the hotel booking was to earn?

I threw in a couple of dummy bookings but couldn’t see it - but perhaps I looked too soon after the email landed.

I thought there have previously been examples when they don't.

Does anybody remember such an instance?
You might be getting lifetime and bonuses mixed up.
Lifetime as far as I remember has always been an umbrella inclusion.

This is incredibly generous by QF IMO. and more fair then the general extension to ensure one can have a good go to retain their status for the membership year afterwards.

I really hope this makes people happy now. I mean I honestly can't see why people would be unhappy???

Agreed it's not clear. I've tried calling Qantas Hotels and they've got NFI....

Will try calling QF Loyalty later to check...conditions seem to imply UP TO 100 SC per booking and 125 for promo period.

The fine print below suggests SC vary from hotel to hotel, but there are no status credits shown on any luxury hotel offers

" the number of Status Credits earned varies between hotels and is limited to a maximum of 100 Status Credits per booking, and a maximum of 125 Status Credits over the whole campaign. See qantas.com/luxuryhotels for the full list of eligible hotels and available Status Credits.

D'oh! Not missing anything, I'm a doofus, again. Its just that I ran out of fingers counting forwards the months.

If QLD let Victorians in without quarantine I would be tempted to book an October trip, but I suspect the border may still be closed then. Any later in the year and the weather isn't that good. Booking a trip for April next year is probably too far away with all the uncertainty at the moment.

I guess I'll see how things are looking later in August.

Did you miss the Woolies promo? Plus BP?

There have been ways. There will be more.

My status had already been extended to end of October 2021 but did not receive the boost.

I suspect there's an error on the Email and it should be February 2021.

But you'll get the boost in November, 2020.

I've updated the title of this thread (which previously said this was only for members with a membership year ending in March or April) as we now know that all current Qantas Frequent Flyer members will be eligible. Members with years ending between March and June should have already received their bonus overnight (or will shortly).

You can read the AFF article here: Qantas Gifts Status Credits to Frequent Flyers

no SC's yet, let's wait and see. I wonder if these will count toward LTG?

Late edit: I know that generally speaking Status credits contribute to LTG, I was musing whether or not this special offer was going to do so as well.

I hope they run that promo again but in my next membership year. All the ground offers in the world aren't going to mean much if Victorians can't even fly interstate let alone overseas.

from email fine print said:

My status had already been extended to end of October 2021 but did not receive the boost.

Going by prior post I would receive it sometime next year?
