Whilst a nice gesture, lacks any visible thought of timing of information being released. With Qantas haemorrhaging customers at the moment, the dating of the promo is cynically cut off at Xmas. This feels like a decision done by an accountant, if they really wanted to thank their customer base, the offer would run through school holidays.

I'll make it to Silver on Friday, so I'll probably miss out on their bucket of gifts. :( Oh well, such is life!

Certainly from a domestic view - I haven't seen any impact at all - all the flights are still full.

I would suggest they are actually targeting their customer base - regular FFs who are (as seen on this blog) in peak business travel season.

Internationally - may be a different story...

Agree 100% or at least to year end. Pre-Xmas feels like this promo offer was done through clenching teeth

I'd agree here.. 3 flights in the last week and the loads are the same as I've had for the last 6 months..

I got the email and it included an offer for a 12 month complimentary membership to epiQure - but I don't drink wine! Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for the offer . . . but I would have preferred anything but the wine.

Nevermind. My thanks anyway.

Good loyalty bonus targeted at the genuine frequent flyer, thanks for this Red Roo, however I fail to see how this is to improve the "joe average" opinion of Qantas after such a disruption to even the "once a year" flyer...?

Qantas, the spirit of Australia.....or only for FF'ers

I still think there is big problems with Qantas, the fact this offer expires prior to Christmas tells me its a "token" gesture to the Australian public...

My 2c anyway...

Does anyone know if the whole Qantas fleet is back in the air? Weren't some aircraft taken off-line. There'd be no point flying any more aircraft than the number of booked seats justified, would there?

I am very happy with my email - a First Lounge Pass - So pleased I am heading OS in Jan too! WHEEE
Thankyou Qantas.

E-mail received, just the 25% points for more. Was hardly going to expect more as a silver though.

I am silver - but had some impacted flights. Were your flights cancelled or really delayed?

Received my email as well. I think I'll have 12 flights in the qualifying period, but sadly they'll all be 1000pt minimum flights - I guess 12,000 points is 12,000 points :)
Shame it wasn't SCs instead, I might possibly have made it to WP1 that way - but probably would have still fallen short.

Epicure membership will be interesting, and probably a good offer for me. It's not something that I'd pay for, but checking it out for 12 months may change my mind.

No email here yet though they have not stumped up for the free flight yet either.

I guess they're linked together.
