Qantas Wine latest offering

Fantastic wines. Best one of the three from the pack IMO. However, it needs time in the cellar. They had a two-pack on offer a month ago but looks like it's gone now.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately they've sold out of the Wirra and substituted a St Hallett Scholz. When I drank the Heathcote Estate a couple of weeks ago, also drank a St Hallett Blackwell - wasn't impressed! Heathcote much nicer!

Thanks for you vinomofo tips too!

What a shame! Guess I should have jumped on this yesterday morning when I received the email. Now I'm less inclined. With St Hallett Scholz priced at $36.95 / bottle, (almost $20 less than the Wirra RSW), around $40 has been effectively shaved off the value of this case.

Yes, even though I just ordered 18 bottles from Epiqure I was thinking of jumping on this one... not a chance without the RSW.

Anyone else going to the epiQure Ultimate Wine Fair in Melbourne? I've just booked for myself and three mates. A day of good wine and gourmet food sounds like a pretty good offer for $60.

Maybe... I am actually meant to be elsewhere that day, but I know one of the kids "organising" it, so will try to get there :)

I bought 2 tickets a couple of weeks ago. Good wine, good food, can't go wrong

haha, sounds like it could be an AFF do... :p

Is anyone going to go to the Neil Perry/ Brett Graham Wolgan Valley dinner thing?
It sounds great if a little exxy
Don't suppose there's any chance of an AFF comp for that? :p

The CSM on my flight tonight as serving me the Shadowfax and we started to talk about Epicure. Seems that QF staff are allowed to join and enjoy Epicure wines and enjoy some bonus points as well. We agreed on some of the Reds ;)

It sounds great, but it is quite expensive! Wolgan Valley was where AJ and Tim Clark thrashed out the beginnings of the QF/EK deal.

We had some friends over yesterday for lunch...after pre lunch drinks and wine with lunch I opened the bonus bottle of Seppeltsfield Port from last year. After coffee I went to put the cork back in the bottle,:o that was a waste of time so I put both in the recycle bin.
I think it was OK ;)

Now that I'm back from my Perth trip, I can now order some more wines ;)

Seems I joined the popular queue and have to settle for the revised 6 pack offer. Oh well, I'll just have to drown my sorrows with 3,585 points instead and a glass tonight of some eminently drinkable Epicure Red

Just bought todays offerings by Epicure - 2 six packs of Flametree Chardonnay @$216 total with 2500 bonus points, and 2 six packs of Saltram Mamre Brook Shiraz 2010 @$300 total with 2500 bonus points.

The Flametree is rated by Halliday as a 96 pointer, and the 2008 Saltram Mamre Brook was a superb wine - hopefully the 2010 will measure up too.

I got it as well. I'll be in SYD on the date but at a Conference Ball and I've already paid. Don't think I fit the bill anyway...
