Qatar Airways status match to Virgin Australia

Has anyone who submitted Monday evening or later, received a response from Qatar yet?
It has been a frustrating experience. I even called them and the guy that I spoke to said he would look into it but nothing as happened. I keep getting a reply asking me to send through the documents that I have already sent through. The last message they sent to me gave me till June 20th to submit. I even contacted Velocity who surprisingly sent through my statement within 24 hours.

My response from them was the same with the June 20th date. I've already replied as I received the Velocity statement faster than I expected. I presume they have copped a lot of requests so it might take them time. Isn't there also some sort of Muslim event happening at the moment? That might slow things down further. Either way I'm not exactly in a hurry as its not like I can go anywhere...

I applied on Monday also but received the email to resend all attachments again, including statements, not screenshots.
What statements and in what format did you send yours in order for them to accept them??

A photo of my Virgin Platinum car and I just printed my last two month activity from Velocity to a pdf

Let me know if you want any other info

I originally forgot to attach my Velocity card but then sent another email straight away attaching it.

So I’ve had 2 ‘service request’ replies, the first stating the same as others to provide everything. The second response was to the email where I attached the photo of the card saying...

Thank you very much for writing to Privilege Club.
Your service request is under process; For further queries, please refer to the Service Request Number
Our service associates are currently looking into your request; and will notify you once resolved.
You may call your nearest Member Service Centre for assistance. Our service associates will be pleased to assist you. Please click here for details of our Member Service Centres.

So that sounds positive. However the status of the ‘service request’ is marked as ‘closed’.

i sent my request email with all relevant details 5 days ago, not received any reply or acknowledgment, did they get back to everyone fairly quick?

Me too, I sent the request in Monday and I have not received a reply or acknowledgement. I am Virgin platinum.

Also worth noting that weekend in Qatar is Friday & Saturday. So hopeful to see some action late Sunday/early Monday.

The offer has been extended for another 48 hours but only to five airlines. I would say they have all the applications from Velocity members they want.

  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Etihad Guest
  • Turkish Miles&Smiles
  • South African Airways Voyager
  • Virgin Australia Velocity (ended)
KrisFlyer members are having similar rejection problems with their statements.

Also the original ten day processing time is now twenty days.

It’s back! Qatar Airways status match from 5 FFPs including KrisFlyer

They emailed me back two days ago like several members saying my request in under process.
Was EY Gold - upgraded to EY plat (shy of 20000 Tier Miles) and applied anyway.
Fingers crossed!

Qatar Airways can’t seem to decide when to end its latest status match offer or which airlines to include! The original offer page said the deal had finished early, though the terms and conditions still referred to the original expiry date, then the deal reappeared for 48 hours but only for Emirates, Etihad and Turkish Airlines members.
That offer ended this morning, but the good news is a second extension to the deal is now in place with both Singapore Airlines and South African Airways re-added to the list.
If you’re a member of any of the following frequent flyer programmes, you can still take advantage of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club status match offer:
  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Etihad Guest
  • Turkish Miles&Smiles
  • South African Airways Voyager
  • Virgin Australia Velocity (ended)
This is a very useful way to duplicate your status in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, a oneworld member loyalty programme, for a 12-month period, potentially giving you access to a range of excellent oneworld lounges at Changi once travel picks up again.
Singapore Airlines and South African Airways are back on the list, though it seems Qatar has already had plenty of applicants from Virgin Australia Velocity members (unsurprisingly, given the uncertainty), who are now ineligible.

Just received the very first message since I applied - requesting for a statement as the screenshot I initially shared didn't show my name, membership number and gold status.

Luckily I requested a statement from Velocity a few days ago and had that handy so I've shared them with now. The statement doesn't explicitly say I'm a Gold member but does have Velocity Gold credits coming in to my account. So hopefully they will accept it.

Also, I never shared a copy of my physical card. I shared a screenshot of my digital card from MyVelocity app (which has the QR code and clearly mentions gold).
