As extra data points, my double SCs from recent travel posted within a couple of days of the flights, with my partner's posting a day or so later. So significantly faster than they may have done - and well in time for my EOFFY requal. Win!

Sadly I have had no luck with auto posting of DSC. I have had to resort to phone up and request manual adjustments. Apparently something with Zulu booking time anomaly

currently bronze, and after the dsc, i will be gold member.. just wondering.. does that means i will not get the complimentary qc pass for silver member since gold can get free lounge access....

If there's a gap between attaining silver and gold, I don't see why you wouldn't receive the silver pack. That's just my assumption though.

If you move too quickly from Bronze to Gold, you wont get the silver pack, however I rang and asked them to send me the silver qantas club card without any issues. They wouldnt send me the bag tags though.

i will only be Silver without the dsc, unless it will take them few days/weeks to credit the dsc to the account..

and i just got myself a kate spade amenity for the bne-akl segment (when i asked for socks/slippers)
did ask for one men's (jack spade) but the fa mentioned they didnt have any stock :-(

I timed my flights so I would get PS, SG and WP. I got WP after landing home after likely my last international trip for the year (which I booked before the double SCs offer).

Looking forward to my first domestic flight as a WP. However unusually for me I'm flying at the evening peak on a Friday so the MEL J lounge may be quite full so I may use the QANTAS Coub lounge which I'm used to.

Hopefully I will have at least one international trip while a WP.

Now I need another double status credits offer to retain WP

just completed my double sc today.. and its tiring ! still waiting for the sc+points to be credited..
do you think it's wise to call them (to send the silver pack) once my status changed to silver.. and when the double sc posted, call them again ??

Some creative booking for trips we were going on anyway will see me reach WP for the first time early next year. It may be the only time it ever happens but Im looking forward to it.

We both made Platinum today after about 4 months of the year. Qantas were lovely to us with upgrades to First on our double status credit deal where we went Perth-Sydney-Los Angeles- New York JFK and back.
Yes we would do it again if it gets offered.

Depends a bit on when you booked during the qualifying period, I think. If you booked in the middle of the qualifying period to book you're less likely to need to ring up than if you say booked as soon as the offer started.

Just as a point of reference for others out there. This is obviously just my experience. I booked quite a few work trips throughout the booking period and the extra SC have posted between 1 and 4 days later without needing to call up yet. These were all domestic though. Have two more this year but they're both int so will see if that makes any difference. Have quite a few more domestic runs next year. Will eventually have to try to remember which ones were the double sc ones.

joy of joys my DSC were posted manually today. as an aside I must read up on Zulu time bookings and how to avoid this type of issue again. I was getting quite jealous of everyone else's DSC posting so quickly after a flight!

You will always have at least 12 months on your new status, so you will be SG till Feb 2018.
