QF to give SCs for Classic Awards [Economy(X) only, booked by Dec 31]

Yep - some will and good luck to them and good on QANTAS. But for me "bummer dude" ... back to exploring the "other airline" options!

I can now perfectly understand why I am cynical and was wary of the word "eligible".
May not be any bad news but exciting.Hmmm.For those of us fortunate enough to fly premium cabins by choice there is nothing here.I still am not reassured that MASAs are here to stay long term.

"Offer" to me implies just that ie special/ limited # / * / ^/** whatever.
Not personally fussed as from a purely selfish perspective it's unlikely to affect me (if ASA's go I'll drop from WP+PG to WP). I burn lots more points on upgrades.
I just can't see QF giving out SC's to every Classic Award booking unless that really is a flying pig going past my window.

Nice to catch up with you yesterday & thanks for pointing this out. Having retrieved it from my trash box (yes I did miss the point earlier when i sped read it!) the video makes interesting viewing.

Glad I procrastinated on booking my MASA seat BNE-SIN-KUL, might do better with this new deal.
Also just got my QANTAS email (Silver QFF), But Mrs JHIG (Bronze QFF) got her email 2 hours ago, so much for a bit better status.

Im WP and didnt even get the email !!

No it was a cow, it looked like a cow so must of been a... it made a cow sound like moo moo then select or moomoo enhance was hard to hear as the window was closed .

Regarding Classic Award availability (non WP), I checked a few seatmaps for all classes on EF for QF2 mid Oct 2014 and in some instances, all seats were showing as occupied (is there a temporary brake on classic awards, the J award calendar is blank).

I guess this latest email we have recvd defines the offer period plus you only get discounted economy SC's.

Footnote explains: The Classic Award Status credits offer is for a limited time only. Economy (X) Classic Award bookings with a QF flight number that are booked between 30 October 2013 and 31 December 2013 will attract Status credits at the Discount Economy rate. To be eligible for the Status credits, you must travel on all Classic Award bookings made during the offer period by 31 December 2014. The Status credits earned through this promotion will count towards your tier membership, but not count towards the four flight rule for reaching or keeping your membership status . Status credits may take up to 6 weeks to appear in your account from the date of flying.
