I believe I am in. Got everything booked right too!

23/8
QF738 - Sorry, I wanted a sleep in.
QF5 - 4K (yay F sleeper - more sleep!)
Conrad of course

24/8
QF52 5J (my favourite on the new config)
then I may take QF7 BNE-SYD to connect back up to MCY (yeah, I know...)

...
Sometime later BNE-ADL to finish off

PrincessK, can you access row 43? I'd go for the airport upgrade.
Forgot to add: QF WP & HH Diamond so guesting should be good.
Yay! I will wave from 1A on QF5 as long as you wave to us down the back on QF52. :)

Yes, I heard we're filling up zone A on 5. Hands up who is in 4A! Better not have an EQP change. Where are people on 52?

43A ATM. I have a points upgrade request in, so will hope for 3E/F.

From what I've seen, 52 is often dead quiet in premium classes and there are often a large number of upgrades. Definitely better chances than the SYD or MEL flights. Since when did everybody start avoiding upstairs? 3 times last year I took QF5 was always row 14 exit row and the place was full, maybe we all miss the FRA connection. I gotta start flying AY.

That is reassuring. EF is showing J9 C9 D9 I9 U4 which is also encouraging. Except 3E/F and 5J are already taken. :(

Sorry for taking everyone's seats. Never felt like I'm going to get jumped so much boarding a flight!

I've taken 1A on 52. But seriously considering upstairs, front row (11?) was free last time I looked.

Also faxed off the coal clearance form this week. With notes to not change seating as I have a battery.

I've got 1A on QF5 but on an A300 day :( (first world problem)

It's a balmy 27 degrees in Singapore :)

Is anyone going to do Q Eat for the return flight?

Still wondering what will happen with the chauffeur the website let me book a couple of glitches ago ;)

I know it has been mentioned before, but with the new config is 8A the only seat with designated power for a CPAP machine? The other thread started talking about it then went onto the A380.

Probably not but I don't have much data as I don't use it every flight. I wouldn't have bothered but thought that I might be a little tired (hic!) on this flight.

I only listed QF52 on my form as I don't sleep on day flights but had to get a note put on stating this to retain 3A for QF5. I had 4A assigned one time a few years ago when this configuration had F and then an engineer visited before take-off to confirm the device would work using the power outlet.

Are these flights eligible for chauffeur drive? *goes to check booking.

It came up on my booking a few weeks ago so I booked it. I have relied on the booking to my detriment so they are estopped now from resiling from it :)

I only booked it for when I return, not for when I depart because the latest they would come was 6am. I only found out too late that you could book for 6am and later change it. Anyway now it doesn't show up on my booking any more so I am left wondering what will happen.

I'm on AY5014, a sneakily disguised QF 35 arriving 4pm. As mentioned earlier, I have friends in tow and we are heading into town for dinner etc before continuing on AY82 through to Helsinki dep 11:30pm. Haven't heard great things about the old config AY A340s. Angled flat beds in J, same or similar to LH (ie nowhere to put anything around you); can pre-order the tucker on long haul, though.

I'll keep and eye (or more likely, an ear) out at abt 10pm if the party is still at SIN (doubtful?)

To be clear about that, it is available with travel on those flight numbers from/to the origin/destination or when connecting on the same booking on Qantas flights to/from Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

Drop in before you head into town. Most of us will be gone by 7.30pm on QF52 before you get back.

Is anyone going to do Q Eat for the return flight?

Thanks for the reminder... I will probably give it a go. Can't hurt to order more food can it?

What happens if you have a special meal set in your reservation that completely conflicts with your Q eat order?

Yes, but when it came up on my booking and I was able to book it, I assumed they were offering it to me as an "unpublished benefit". Hence my reliance to my detriment in telling someone else they don't need to come and collect me. So now they're estopped from reneging on it :)
