SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

CE I love the way you articulate the experience.

Takes me back to my last Suites in Janaury.

The reds by the way are outstanding. All three of them!

and best of all served by a Singapore girl ;)

There was some conjecture in one of the SQ threads - might have even been earlier in this thread - about whether or not 77W and 77WN could be identified by position of bassinet seat on seat maps.

I spoke with crew on 77W last week and they informed me indeed bassinet seat on both 77W and 77WN is indeed 1A and not 2A as it appears on seat maps and seat maps for both are identical - sorry I could not provide more information which would allow identification.

Have a June F after R from SYD from SIN to MXP
Would love the 77WN

Yes it's certainly worth trying - took me like 15mins to work out how to turn the lights on and off. If you do get to try make sure you check those little storage compartments thoroughly - just way too many of them.

Maybe I can hide the chocolate bullets from Darryl Lea to have with the Dom when I get sick of the Krug.

Naaaahh. Will never get sick of the Krug

I was just about sick of it last Tuesday - it was running out my ears by the time we arrived in SIN from PVG - had crew well trained - only 5 F pax and 4 others were Chinese who slept basically all way - crew kept that glass topped up entire flight - well except for when drinking the Reds during dinner.

Thanks for the info Cruiser. Surely after a few glasses of Krug it doesn't matter if it's 77W or WN ;)

I rest my case!!!!! ;) Sorry Al pal - and unlike some others here on AFF I know you will see the humour in that.

cfellows the only time I ever BTC nos is early morning flts out of SIN where breakfast / brunch is served if I have already eaten brekky in J Lounge or TPR - other than that I go with what is offered.

We are in London so we are using our Citi AA cards from the U.S. and that will use up some currency we bought at .864. Makes things cheaper than $2 AUD making a pound.
Our next Krug, Vodka and French red is 8 days away and then a gap for us until the end of July.
Breaking the trip to London by stopping at the Crowne Plaza at Changi was a good idea. We will do that more often.

Make sure you choose the French red; the Aussie one they serve is pizza wine.

Yes the Frech red is really good. It comes after the Krug and after the chilled Vodka.

Which red in particular - different routes have different offerings. If you are referring to Teusner Shiaz recently offered on MEL-SIN/SIN-MEL routes then I agree and I have provided feedback to SIA.

On that very point - any SQ pax F, J or Y who has any problem with either hard or soft product by all means post here for benefit others but please also priovide feedback to SIA directly via there online Customer Service Feedback page https://www.singaporeair.com/customerServiceFeedBack.form - don't just let it pass without alerting them.

Sitting in CA F Lounge in PVG as I type this - interesting point of check-in was total absence of Departure Cards on check-in counters.

I asked agent for one and she replied 'inside Departure Hall' - NO NO NO was my response here - But we have none - Then go find some - Agent at next counter hears this and gets up and walks 2 mtrs to fetch 1 and 1 only for me from stash behind them.

Senior SQ staff member wanders up and asks whats proble? I said always always you have departure card here - she says but most pax like to fill in inside Dep Hall - RUBBISH I said - always always you have them here on counter - she promised will address this and wandered off to get some stock to put on check-in counter top.

Check-in agent was totally apologetic that they had no TPR Invitations to give me at check-in but promised to deliver to me at gate - gotta love SQ huh - what is it with those TPR Invitations that give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside?

Unless the situation was absolutely dire, I would urge the exercise of caution if intending to write in to complain about crew however.
