To be honest, and with the amount of time you fly with SIA, they probably think you are an unofficial state head of Vic. Obvious to provide that kind of service (a) they value you as a customer (b) they take their Customer Service seriously.

So I was in PVG last week for 5 nts for a trade show - on the first night something bit me on the top / bridge of foot - during night I apparently scratched it with my toenail and opened it up a bit. Water in China is less than pristine so showering over next few days etc and walking all day at trade show really aggravated so was quite sore / ugly by time I departed PVG to return to Oz.

Changed as soon as I entered F cabin and senior cabin angel saw damage to my foot and said 'Of my god - what happened to your foot'? Oh just a scratch I said - 'When we get airborne I will come back and dress that for you she said' - NO NO is no bother - just needs a bit of air and it will be fine.

Gave it no more thought but lo and behold as soon as seat belt sing is off Sing Girl angel is back with medical kit in hand - absolutely insists I sit and relax until she dresses my foot - swabs it all down with antiseptic wipe - covers it with couple of band aid type strips - and says 'There you go - if you need me attend to it again on this flight please just call me'!

Any wonder people want to fly SQ?

Does anyone know if the SQ crew can see your DOB from their passenger manifest? I only ask as I will be flying on my birthday and see if they will recognise it and do something above and beyond he he he he - and no I don't expect singing 'happy birthday' over the cabin intercom ha ha ha

And it's exactly two months to go till the A380 :)

You are unbelievable Al pal - you rort CCs to accrue a bucket load of pts - you use the virtually free CCpts so secure a Suites run - then you come on here actively seeking info so you can then devise some devious plan to get the SQ crew to sing happy birthday to you! OMG! What else would you like added to your Suites run? ;) ;) ;)

Just kidding - shoot I think I was supposed to seek your permission first before I have a joke with you - my apologies.

But on a serious note - not sure about birthdays - but every Suites experience is like 'All your XMAS's have come at once'!

Very cheeky CE ;) :D You can joke as much as you want with me ..... after all, you are my SQ suites idol ;) :D I need to be more like you :D

Anyway, fyi I will be flying two flights on my birthday so maybe its sung twice ha ha ha ha - with the early morning departure out of SYD and the just before midnight departure to NRT ;) and I did have two Xmas' in one year too .... Xmas lunch in Sydney, flew to Hawaii in the evening and started the Xmas day once again ;)

Crikey mate - you either need to get out a lot more or set the bar a hell of a lot higher if I am your idol!

You're in a suite every second day or so so that's a high enough bar :) Ordinary folks like me only get to go in a SQ suite once every few years :D

you can goolge 'Singapore Airlines Birthday Cake' and information will come up. Seems you can call SQ to notify them of your birthday if you wish. Seems on the odd occasion check-in will notice it in your passport.

MEL ................. seriously? ......... Did you have to? ............ Al pal will be on the blower for sure now!

Many moons ago Mrs UXB and myself received one..we were on our honeymoon. In those days, and we are talking 10 years prior to AFF membership, travel was paid for with $ and travel was down the back of the bus. Ahh the good old days;)
Shared the cake with the other pax in our row who was most greatful, Victoria sponge cake if my memory serves me .
Must have been the travel agent who tipped them off cos it wasn't me and Mrs UXB didn't even know where we were headed for the honeymoon ,let alone the airline.

Does anyone know if I've got a friend travelling in Y, can we both check in at F counter or is this frowned upon?

Never tried it but could not see a prob - you do mean checking in SYD right? Remember if you hold R or F B/P you can guest 1 into F lounge also - so check in would be a breeze I assume.

Not so long ago, you were "drooling" over some of the posts in the Suite Saver thread IIRC.

No, you are no longer an "ordinary" folk.

You are now a Suite flyer !

Does this include flights booked into O (ie: redemptions)?

My Grandmother may be meeting the wife and I in SIN before we travel on to NRT, she will most likely be in J but it would be nice to guest her into the F lounge. I take it TPR is going to be out of the question though.

YES you can guest anybody into F lounge if you hold SQ R or F B/P - comm tix or redpt bookings (O) no prob. And you are correct TPR only for F and R B/P holders - but that would not stop me asking - worst thing is they say NO.
