Credit Card Offers St.George Amplify Signature: 150,000 bonus Amplify Points (expires 30/4/25)

Today SIL is doing a Suites run using Kris Miles. I really doubt any of our extended family would choose to churn this Amplify CC.
I had issues getting this card for my favourite eldest son but he has it now and he left it with me to qualify for the first 100,000 Amplify points. All good now for him.
Our turn in Suites next month and I hope the Krug is offered.

I hate this emerging trend of making you hold the card for greater than 12 months to get the maximum bonus available.

Just remember that 200,000 Amplify points only equals 100,000 Velocity points. And you'll need to pay the annual fee to get the full bonus. So $279 for 100,000 Velocity points is really wants being offered here. When you'll get all of those points awarded to your account isn't clear. But it will definitely be more than 12 months before you see the 200,000.

Biggest problem I see is being locked in to this card for such an extended period of time. In the same amount of time I could easily have churned 500,000 worth of Velocity points by using other cards.

I hope that this is not a popular offer as I do not want to see a trend of these long term deals being the norm.
Well said @Dr Ralph I hate the idea of tying me down for a year just to get bonus points!!! We need more appealing cards out there.

I love this card, and love the double year bonuses. About time they reward the customer that plans to stay for a longtime - long may it live!

Last night I was helping to book two for a PERTH long weekend to get to Melbourne and back so very short notice. They tried their Qantas points and AA miles but they were too costly.. I booked them Virgin on the A330 in business for regular points because it was available for regular points numbers. They did AA miles for their Sydney ex PERTH run a few weeks later. I do find Virgin and Singapore Air redemption flights much more available so I could consider both systems to be more valuable.

I can't seem to find detail on the number of supplementary cards this product allows, can anyone assist? Got it approved fairly painlessly and will cancel the Citi prestige now, just concerned about the supplementaries because I recall seeing something about 1, but now can't find it.

yes that would work, I do use the supplementaries to dissect payments business/non business though. Do the St George statements list all transactions by date order only, or sub-categorised by the card used?

Hi everyone,
How long does it normally take for the bonus Amplify points to post ?

I got approved for the Amplify Platinum card 2 months ago, and have just spent past over 6k. (Mininum spending amount to get the 70K bonus points for the first year)

Does it really take 3 months for the bonus points to post ?

Have you been following this thread and are confident all your spend meets the eligibility criteria?

Yes, i have been following this thread closely, and very sure that i have spent over 6k on the eligible items. No problem, i shall wait for the next few statements and see if the bonus points will be posted.

I had the qantas variety of this one and had to wait the full 3 months after meeting the spent. Painful it was.

I have had to wait 3 months in the past, also, but I can see from previous posts by @Dr Ralph that they can be posted within as little as 3 weeks.

Points posted 18/2.

Card now cancelled.

This is what churning is all about!

The 200,000 Amplify points offer thru pointhacks is still there but quite hidden. Put St George Amplify into the search area.
The non Qantas points credit card is a winner for our family and we all have one.
We had an almost $12,000 sports tickets bill to pay so my son got to the first year bonus for non government spend very quickly. For some the $12,000 non government spend could be a problem to get the bonus.

I got the Qantas points version of this card but I think I'll go for the non-Qantas version next time, so I can boost my Krisflyer balance.

I don't put $200k through Canberra each year, so it makes more sense for me to use other cards for government spend and wait out St. George's exclusion period so I can get a signup bonus of Amplify points instead.

It is a $12,000 non government spend for the 100,000 Amplify bonus offer in each of 2 years.
Yes Kris Miles work well for our tribe. SIL had old SQ suites to London and she has no status at all.
