For penegal and others, the news is on in 10 minutes. I'm sure you'd be able to find something if you miss it live.

For those that get Channel 9 Brisbane news (with Melissa Downes), you may want to watch (I think it will be) Monday's bulletin. There will be a story on a famous Brisbane sportsman (now personality) who has been diagnosed with a Malignant Melanoma. Seems that Ch9 wanted some filler from a survivor, so Cancer Council put them onto me. You'll see me slathering Cancer Council suncreen on my daughter, saying goodbye as she "goes off to school", "working" on my laptop and be interviewed - probably a 10 to 15 second grab. Will also be interview with a radiation oncologist in the story. Many thanks to Kath (producer) and Carlo (cameraman) who came to my home this morning - wrap done in 45 mins.

I can understand work related email being signed off with "warm regards" or "kind regards" but I've just had a "fond regards". It seems just a little too personal especially since I've never met this lady.

Is it just me?

Quite like - All the best,

I use all the best too, but would also then say Cheers! Overkill much?

Thanks Lindsay, you're famous (for 30 seconds) :p:p

I didn't see it live, but the video is available on the internet this morning. An important message, especially around this time of year.

Brisbane, Gold Coast and Queensland news

Well done Lindsay.. Newspaper, Channel 9, what next?? But on a serious note it was a well deserved & very important information sharing of all too common problem we experience across this great nation of ours.

Lucky London is cold.......we would not want the Tim Tams to melt on arrival.
A bit of a worry with Dubai...

Interestingly I have never been so cold as when I visited Saudi - the air con was so intense. I have previously lived in Germany and visited Poland in winter.
