#1stworldproblems?

Maybe, but when things go wrong or on the verge of very awkward, my dad doesn't react very well. Either he'll end up sending himself to a jail in another country, or he'll come home and wring my neck saying that was the worst vacation ever.

Oh dear.. Observed that expression on 'Come Fly with Me" series once or twice..

I received a Welcome back from Qantas this morning and by the way your flight is delayed until 9:14am.

Apparently SYD is a mess again and this pretty much explains why I am delayed most Friday nights, Hope no one misses any important meetings. ;)

Maybe they are giving your golf clubs a chance to catch up. ;)

Seriously though, I hope you are reunited soon.

I hope it all works out JohnK, and that your clubs make the trip also.

... I know that I've been in lounges which don't make boarding calls, so I often keep an eye on the departures board. If it's 45 minutes before departure and nothing seems to be boarding, I always ask.

Being proactive on my own has got me out of what might've been the weeds more than once...

I'll raise you one. Last year I was in the lounge at CMB and the attendant told me NOT to go to the gate, even though it was past the scheduled departure time of the flight, and all the screens didn't have a revised time. I kept asking her (about 5 times), and as I was getting antsy, I went to the gate. I was amoung the last pax to board

Maybe they are giving your golf clubs a chance to catch up. ;)

LOL :p

The notation from the lounge staff at KUL usually make a point of your forthcoming flight, & if any issue or delayed requirement ideally personally advised.
Wish you a pleasant remaining journey..
Journey was fine. It is the misinformation that gets on my nerves sometimes. Not sure if it is lies or incompetence.

One of the last to board in SIN and asked at boarding gate if my luggage had made the flight. Gate agent checks on screen and advises that luggage did make it.

Get to BNE this morning and wait and wait and wait and no luggage but bags were taking a long time to come off QF052. Go to oversize and nothing there either. Enquire at Qantas baggage services and I am told not to believe everything I am told. Apparently there is a note to advise luggage did not make connection and luggage has been sent on priority on SQ231 SIN-SYD. Hoping to receive sometime this afternoon after it clears customs and gets couriered to me.

[h=1]Thousands of litres of whisky flushed down drain in Dumbarton[/h]

The mistake happened at a Chivas Brothers bottling plant

Thousands of litres of whisky have been flushed down the drain by accident at a bottling plant in Dumbarton.
It is understood the mix-up happened at Chivas Brothers during the night shift on Tuesday while equipment was being cleaned.

I can just about hear some of you crying as I write this.

I imagine somebody is looking for a new job.

Is 10:27 AM too early for a red wine? It might take my mind of the threadbare BA Lounge at TXL.

.....and yes I am crying at the loss of that whisky.

Maybe, but apparently customers prefer the cleaning fluid that was bottled instead.... :D

And did anyone else laugh at "Dumb"arton?

"Och! You eee-jit! You're not supposed to but that much whisky in the town water! Think of the children!" :p

Sorry, couldn't help myself. No offence, Princess Fiona. :)

Today has been the day for spotting CLs, and attractive ones at that.

Two on my QF domestic flight (saw BPs), and two different ones picking up checked luggage in BNE (bag tags).

As a side not I forgot my Qantas drink coasters today, so my golf clubs travelled with printed J loop tags :|

I remember the days when I rebelled against the screw cap.......Oh, how I don't miss the cork!

I have, on occasion, felt it was too late for a red wine, but can rarely recall thinking it was too early.
I am not necessarily speaking in a chronological sense. All that whiskey going down the drain…just not right - even if it is Chivas.
