Anyone had the displeasure of travelling on Qatar Air at 30 degrees Celcius for a few hours?

No thanks will give it a huge miss.

Did they have a air con issue.

I am surprised they did the flight unless they could not go to a appropriate airport to land.

Apparently there and back as the air con issue was very real. I probably should do a sauna for 30 minutes but these Qatar guys gave their passengers a total of 16 hours of it!

Yuck and yuck,

That is all I could say.

Aust law would savage any airline that tried to do that in Aust.

I was on a flight that had to turn around due to AC not working properly but when we landed they then said the fault was caused by a bird strike.

I was in a lecture theatre without air-con for an hour today and almost lost it...on an aircraft I'd probably find a reason to divert, get offloaded and get some fresh air...

I remember the days when I rebelled against the screw cap.......Oh, how I don't miss the cork!

This reminds me of a funny story: one time in Melbourne, I was having dinner with some
AFFers and the waiter couldn't get the cork our of a ~10-15 year old bottle of red (not as expensive as it sounds), so he kept trying new bottles until he had gone through 3 bottles (and 3 disintegrated corks) before he decided to apologise and offer us a different wine. Naturally none of this went on our bill. It was pretty funny to watch until penegal had a go opening a bottle with the same result.

The AFFers I'm question know who they are :p

This is not going to end well. 18 minutes into my visit to Shipwrights near The Hilton at Tower Bridge and I appear to have consumed two mighty fine pints of Black Sheep Bitter.

Tony go around the corner to Strada and mix that beer with some tucker. We almost crossed paths as we were there earlier in the week. Had to go home to make sure I was still recognized at work.

I don't think you realise I live about 10 mins walk from there... And Shipwrights is a "sometimes" bar for me (although their prices are a bit high). If you ever want to catch up for a beer when you're in London, please let me know!

A very below par performance. I suspect international travel is your biggest water hazard.
Not the end of the world and luckily I have travel insurance but airline should cover replacement if bags do not arrive.

Could do with a new set of golf clubs. ;)

I now have my own brand new designated driver :)
The weather was so awful I think the poor testing officer felt sorry for my daughter. I'm now chewing my nails at home as she has gone solo to the shop's
(in Shrek's car of course ;) )
