A friend inherited the phone number of a former fish and chip shop. She wasn't overly impressed.
The wood/iron cover of my latest golf bag is now ruined.I have always worried about using zip bags for this reason. I understand the zips can be opened by insertion of a ballpoint (Biro to us oldies) pen tip, so who knows whether your bag burst its zip or was entered illegally. Can it be repaired?

The bag is not new but is OK for use. I borrowed a new(ish) head cover and after 1 trip this is now ruined. These covers are not easily found as the general rule is 1 new bag, 1 new cover. If cover is ruined then you will more than likely need a new bag cover.
Unfortunately new bag costs ~AUD80+ and I am not in mood to buy another so soon after buying last one. Travel insurance excess is AD200 which is not enough to cover new bag or bag cover.
What to do?
I know what you are saying but I cant afford another set of golf clubs as this one is less than 3 years old.Easy! Treat yourself to a new set of clubs for use in Australia. Leave your old set with the BKK girlfriend, assuming she is 'the' girlfriend, or at the (golf) club you play at most in Pattaya.![]()
A female colleague and I were once called to a house and the gentlemen in the back yard thought we were the entertainment. Let's just say that they were soon corrected in no uncertain terms. My wife gets calls and messages from people believing she is the local snake catcher.

Secondly I would not leave my golf clubs at the social golf club in Pattaya as potentially they can be rented out to anyone witout my knowledge.
My BKK girlfriend lives and works in Chiang Mai and it would be too much to expect her to take my clubs back to Chiang Mai each time. Next trip I arrive on Sunday night with clubs, play 5 games of golf and leave Saturday. At the same time she will arrive Sunday night from Chiang Mai and leave Saturday for Chiang Mai.

I was looking at that in BKK last week. It was only THB150 and I am sure would have preserved the cover and the golf clubs! How about getting them 'glad-wrapped' prior to bag check-in? Don't know what it costs, but have seen 'glad-wrapped' items on the carosel, that appear intact.
