Damn, I do love my life sometimes - being courted by investment managers who do presentations in nice restaurants or hotels.

You really gotta wonder how...???

Even though I don't know everything about their systems & methods of working, based on my experience there's a lot of energy & forces involved to mount the platform & then go up that staircase the way that it has. It might be what is called an infrastructure initiated derailment but coming into a dead end, there's no way the train should be where it ended up.

Sounds delicious, and quite different.
Does Greece have regional cuisine?
Definitely. You can find some type of dishes in one area only. And by areas it could be a string of isolated villages that have different cuisine. Some of the dishes mum cooks are definitely local dishes that other Greeks would not know existed.

Here is another one for you JohnK.Jetstar and their slightly stupid passenger-
'Drunk' Jetstar passenger claims to have AK-47 rifle on flight from Melbourne

"Jetstar does not tolerate antisocial behaviour." Yeah, neither do we.

I really wish miscreants who create trouble like this are punished with a minimum fine and a week in the slammer. Methinks this is not going to happen.

Of course, the defence argument is how did JQ admit this man on board unless he did not look intoxicated upon boarding. (I guess there is a prejudice that one can be "drunk" but not necessarily belligerent nor have malicious intent, and this should not exclude carriage).

Quite a few airlines around the world have trouble working that one out.

I have finally managed to upgrade my mum from an ancient Nokia brick to an iPhone. It has been an eye-opening experience. She has had the iPhone in a box since Xmas. When I arrived in GLA we visited an O2 store, swapped her SIM card and updated her pay as you go plan. It's kind of been the inverse of seeing the kids after Santa has been at Christmas.
"Can I actually open my email on the phone?" "Does it really have a normal keyboard?"
:)
