Hehe.. They shot them with a tag, so will now be able to track them and also get alerts when they come closer to shore. They're currently feeding on a dead whale carcass.

Maybe they could set the sharks up with a Twitter feed, so that everyone knows their exact movements :D

Oooh yeah - I'm hearing ya! What especially irks me is Quantas. Its an acronym for crying out loud! What does the U stand for??? Unadultterated? Uniform? Unparralelled?

I've was always told that "QANTAS" stood for "Queer and Nasty, Try Another Service".

Poor, I know.

:D

I was just drinking...

Yes I know it does not happen very often...
And now I am jealous. I had 5 heavy drinking days (Wed-Sun) and can you believe I lost 1.5kgs. Don't ask me how or where but it is gone. I am almost certain that I will find it again though.

Travelling always places a strain on eating well. So does status/mileage running (or aircraft and lounge food, for that matter). I don't have access to scales so I'm not sure if I've gained weight so far on my run/trip, but I've got money that I'll be a few kilos heavier once I get back to BNE. :(

Oddly enough, I'm not feeling any additional strain or noticing any additional stretching around my waistline (which is currently set on my belt's tightest notch).

So far, the best I've been trying to keep with is getting enough fresh fruits, vegetables, a bit of calcium and bread everyday, plus plenty of water and tea when I can get some. I've been holding off alcohol as much as I can, but it's really hard to pass up the odd bit of hot food or nice cake and the QPs/JLs; I have 3+ FL experiences coming up :( that's gonna be a real challenge! My tight turnarounds for my runs doesn't give me a lot of time to walk, of which I am barely chalking up just over 10k steps per day (average!) so far (sorry my GCC buddies).

I found it here, I'll post it to you

I don't have access to scales

I stayed at an IC hotel recently and they had a set of scales in the bathroom.. something I have not seen before.

I really don't know what the point of having them in a hotel is..

Comes in handy if wanting to weigh your luggage before you get to the airport.

Although, IME, bathroom scales are not noted for their accuracy! I've tried this before, and get different results on the airport scales!

I have noticed that hotel bathroom scales are never accurate. They always add about 3kg to the weight that know I should be.

And the airport scales also seem to do the same when you jump on them, right? ;)
