Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(

How did they break it to you??
My boss told me. I still dont have notice in writing so they are currently in breach of our EBA by a week.

Can't remember if I whinged here. But a few weeks ago we were looking at university Maths requisites to make a decision about the maths that a child in year 8 would don in year 9. Today I find out this utterly ludicrous situation is thanks to the new national curriculum. Message sent to my MP who just happens to be education minister as well.

Not good and what a pack of mongrels to handle it so poorly. :(

It is less than the best. But I like the pragmatic approach that they will have to pay out the notice period from whenever they finally give written notice.

I'm not silly. :D Especially as it means I'll be missing out on a years worth of back pay due to them withholding a pay increase all year.

Storm started hitting the Brisbane CBD about 10 mins ago and a couple of cracking lightning and thunder shows - BNE should be shutting down and delays are imminent.

Why:confused: Surely they have to pay you out that as well - or was that part of their crafty plan. Make sure the nails are rusty...

;) Make sure they calculate it correctly: https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/...?anchor=Genuine_redundancy#Genuine_redundancy

(because I'm sure they'll stuff it up, like everything else they have done this year )
We don't get redundancy...

Because it will form part of the new EBA which won't be finalised until at least Feb. They aren't silly, getting rid of people then paying up.
