I don't think I will leave the office today... probably be wearing the same shirt tomorrow.

Seems today is the day to discover I don't have a job next year...

I'm sorry to hear that blackcat20. Not a welcome Christmas present (or is it?). I quite genuinely wish you the very best for the new year (new year, new job.......poetry).

It is less than the best. But I like the pragmatic approach that they will have to pay out the notice period from whenever they finally give written notice.

And the public holidays in the mean time! Still no consolation for the loss of a job.

Absolutely no consolation. I'm also waiting to hear an announcement at work. Not at me but at a group that I've worked closely with for an extended period. It's heart breaking as a bystanding.

As much as work was annoying me, it's very unwelcome. Timing almost couldn't be worse...

I'm not silly. :D Especially as it means I'll be missing out on a years worth of back pay due to them withholding a pay increase all year.

I wouldn't be confident of that give the issues you've had with them in the past  good luck!

Penegal are you hot desking or is there nowhere for a shower and quick change of clothes?

Hi JohnK
I think I may have posted something earlier about diet and natural alternatives.
Turmeric is reputed to help with inflammation among other ailments. Please make your own investigation. Organic product is available at my local health food shop for around $6.
Turmeric This web site can give some background. Inflammation is potentially very damaging. John.
Thanks John. I do remember you posting these details previously. Is turmeric something that is recommended by homeopaths and naturopaths?

Cut a long story short but i try to stick to conventional medicine. Went to a homeopath ~20 years ago a month or so before a ~6-7 week trip to Greece and Europe. Started to take the remedy he prepared and let's just say it made me much worse than what I was before seeing him. Didn't ruin my trip but made me very uncomfortable. Never again. Dad took the same remedy and he had the same symptoms but he went back a few times where the homeopath tinkered with the dose and still nothing. Dad gave up.

Turmeric is also very good for the liver......... drink with a bit of milk (dairy/soy/rice/almond) etc.
