Not often do I share videos I watch on youtube and this quite a specialised field... however I think ti could be appropriate for this forum.

It is long but basically goes into the engineering of Bloodhound SSC and then there's a bit of flying at the end!

A great geek out moment for me! :D

Mrs QF WP has been disagnosed with a ganglion in her right wrist (yes she's right handed) - which necessitates surgery as the GP said (something about) being multiple small bubbles in a big bubble, rather than being able to have a fine needle aspiration. Fantastic . Looks like I'll be doing everything in the house for at least a couple of weeks in recovery. Now she's off to contact some "hand doctors". *Wry smile*

For those that are interested to find out more: Cysts - ganglion cysts | Better Health Channel

Wish doctors and pathology reports would talk in simple language ;)

"At the level of compartment 4 extensor digitorum and extensor indictus tendons there is a lobulated ganglion measuring approx 1.7 x 0.4 x 0.7cms. This appears to be compressing the C4 tendons. It can be traced to the radiocarpal joint space".
Get Mrs QF WP to talk to Mrs straitman.

Suffice to say, been there done that.

Don't do the book thing! My doctor wanted to do that, and it turned out the "ganglion" (once excised by a real surgeon) was a tumour and all that would have happened with the book bashing would have been me screaming in pain!

Wow, didn't expect such a response to ganglions - thank you, I've read them all to Mrs QF WP and she likes knowing that many others have experienced similar to her.

We have every disorder and disability known to man on AFF...:shock:;):p:mrgreen:. (I'm surprised that you hadn't noticed, QF WP ;)).

Hi Friends, so...no quiz questions, as photos do not post from my Apple product apparently.

But...so one finds oneself in a certain first class lounge at an airport that we might call "thiefrow" (thank you APD).

And one sees some Glenlivet 18 years old (Happy Birthday to you a la Python) , and some J. W. Blue Label Whiskey. So one samples such a nice tasting. But around one, there are large numbers of local lads, who seem to be unable to pronounce consonants. They are just not interested in such whiskies. No. It is a lineup to clean out a bowl of Kettles salted chips!! Whiskies survive unscathed.

Another interesting hour in transit today . John. See you soon some friends!!

I'm freaking out. I've received no letters at home this week. Where are all the bills!

Werks after someone hit and run my car, there's another accident in my street. A car ended up on my next door neighbours naturestrip wedged against the pole. Police in attendance moved the car and parked it on the corner! In front of my house. Might be time to complain about the use of a small suburban street for heavy through traffic.

We need to train you better JS2000. I'll give you a refresher on Saturday week

Lounge most likely somewhere in Asia; so could be Cathay First lounge in Hong Kong or even the JAL First lounge in Tokyo, both never been to, you will have to tell us the answer when we next meet and then give you a demonstration on how to add photos to AFF.

Once John has mastered the adding of the pictures then you can add them to the http://www.australianfrequentflyer....rip-photos/the-view-from-my-office-63414.html which also adds to your post count.

As it so happens I have to move desk again at work.

Apparently if you shuffle people around productivity increases. Either that or management gets a power kick watching the ants in disarray.

Let's hope you get a more interesting corner this time - maybe some graffiti - like the mind-numbingly simple 'Foo was here'. Don't know what made me think of that.

'Thiefrow' is a colloquialism for Heathrow, so JohnSydney2000 would be at LHR.

I got a view.

But I would rather have my quiet desk back again. The guy next to me conducts hands free phone calls all day long. The building is all windows. The construction work outside is annoying the hell out of me and I have only been here 15 minutes. And some people in general have no manners in open environments. No regard for those around them.

I don't want to have headphones on all day. My old quiet room is still there. Can get popular. Looks I will be spending as much time as possible in there after 11:00am.

Life is cruel. Kick in the guts every opportunity.
