Has someone already mentioned that you might want to stock up on bananas now? I'm not sure where the main banana growing area of QLD is, but I'm sure there will be a reason for the extraordinary prices in the next couple of months anyway.

Main banana areas are north from the cyclone path. They will have missed most of the winds.

Probably, but there will be issues with road flooding and the trucks being delayed getting to the southern states.

Bananas go black within a couple of days down here. But no doubt the prices will ramp up anyway.

I'll continue to enjoy bananas here for £0.68/kilo

To counter that though, just off to hockey now - it's been snowing overnight and we have an early 10am game. Think that evens it out!

Welcome to the BCC Club drron, although I'm not a Queenslander. Must have gotten mine whilst up there on holidays.

As long as you don't join me for the Melanoma, SCC, BCC and bowens cancer club

I hope not. Interestingly enough, statistically if you have had a BCC it puts you in the high risk category for melanoma. Or so I am told. Have no idea what Bowens is but am familiar with the others.

Does anyone know how accurate the MoleMap process is at suggesting Melanoma?

Maybe a bit like buying fruit & veggies in parts of Alaska we visited. Great choice of fresh stuff from various parts of the world-just not 7 day a week delivery in a lot of towns

I don't have any direct knowledge but the system looks to be a good screening method. But, having had a melanoma in the past, i would not fully trust pseudo-systems. If you have a doubt, go to a specialist dermatologist. It could save your life or possibly save you a lot of money from misdiagnosis.

Is anybody else here going to see Alice and Motley?
Mrs B and I saw The Crew a couple of years ago and had the best time. Really looking forward to seeing them again, sadly for the last time. Never seen Alice but as a fan can't wait.

Hope you enjoy the cheap frozen berries as well!

Oh, you mean the ones exported from China to Australia? Nice to see the Australian quality control was top notch there! And the consumers don't care, they just buy what is on the shelf.

Bananas in the UK are imported green from various countries, and ripened in warehouses. (TBH, very similar to the process done in Australia - just at a bigger scale). While taste does vary a little depending on the country of import, I don't miss Australian bananas, and certainly don't miss the rollercoaster price differences the local farmers create.

You can purchase cheap $hit anywhere .... fresh is always - best!

If you really think Bananas in Australia are fresh, you are very mistaken.

BS! Market Fresh is the way ... avoid the Walmart style at all cost, buy nothing that's not in season ;) try buying local!
