I just received an order of USD in cash via my bank. I've checked the money and I've noticed:
  • The bills are crisp and appear quite new, or at least have been minimally handled
  • Some clusters of bills have sequential serial numbers
Did a quick check of authenticity and the bills appear to be genuine. Should I be concerned?
Nope. Pretty usual when it comes to forex. No different to you going to an ATM (common in the UK) and getting crisp fresh notes, with sequential numbers.

Flew TMW-SYD this afternoon after doing a relo mission. Plenty of people heading down for the Bledisloe and also the City2Surf. I had to knock on the QF lounge door and get another person to let us in - apparently the door has a PIN code :) It was nice to be in the country for a few days.

The PIN is usually printed on the BP if you're meant to have access.

Text from Jnr boarding VA BNE - MEL - "What is this, a plane for ants"?

Gosh, kids are funny/precious sometimes.:D It's the Embraer 190.

Spending a few days in the U.S. I realize that there are a couple of gift card sites I need to start using. Placed a first order on raise.com and I am looking at giftcardgranny.com
Before too long it may save us some money now that U.S. Dollars cost us a bit more

Any bird experts on here? If so I'd like your thoughts on this, any information would be much appreciated. We have a Blue Satin Bowerbird in our yard and this year he has built two bowers together, done a bit of research and can't find anything.

I couldn't find an definitive answer but seems in their range of their normal behaviour.

My satin bowerbird has relocated to my neighbour’s yard after around 2 years blessing us with his presence. What amazes me is that he has built a double bower. Is this normal?

Another double bower.

This bower has a keen eye!

Thanks whatmeworry for the link and the photos, it seems I didn't do a very good seach at first, I like the link to Norville Australia, they have quite a good selection of birds visiting them. Much reading ahead!

Painkillers don't appear to do too much for nerve pain. Any of the docs on AFF recommend something stronger than 2 Panadeine Forte and 2 Nurofens taken together for severe tooth pain? Endone is a possibility but don't want to take that for 11 days until tooth comes out.

Listerine or salty water.

I'd be dipping into the holiday fund to fix that puppy straightaway. Failing that you could try the Castaway method....

Round 18 top of the ladder and leading by 10 points, still work to do. Next week is the Derby which will be interesting, I will be back in Melbourne in 2 weeks to watch Fremantle play North Melbourne

Yes, the 2nd half show by WCE wasn't great.

Freo had a shocking Q4 today but still won by a reasonable margin.

Salty water doesn't help the pain.

Door knob... Piece of string?
Tooth has broken 3 times and not much of it left.

Co-ordinating Dentist and GP together in an afternoon in a week where I don't already have hospital appointments is not easy.

20 August is the day but I think this pain is going to seem a lot less painful than what's going to happen in first week of September.
