Unfortunately no credit card. TA's oncharge the % and that is enough to make people pay by direct deposit.

To make it worse, that TA was due at court at a certain time. Somehow she managed to get a time 2 hours earlier so those still in Adelaide who had planned to be in court, were too late.

They've done their dough.

How? Bankrupt the travel agent and do not allow them to earn any money until their debt and heavy fine is paid off.

Oh and no medicare or PBS for the travel agent.

We are way too kind on criminals.

The TA is bankrupt. They do not by law, therefore have to pay anyone anything. But hopefully gaol is in their future.

Might be a long shot if they get any jail.

I hear violent crime in Adelaide is somewhat on the rise. It might not be such a shame if this TA happened to be racked up as one of those statistics.

It seems there is very little protection against bankrupt crooks (and there may well never be); even less so in travel agency situations. Those insurance funds which they keep touting in other jurisdictions also seem like a flimsy measure. It's unfair on the airlines as well, unless their insurance would also cover when they have been contracted to offer a service to a customer whose travel agent has effectively screwed the airline.

Our Govt has an interesting way of dealing with such issues. Reports to the child abuse hotline were overwhelming the system due to the increasing number of reports. So they simply reduced the levels of mandatory reporting. Crime - lets legalise a few.

Hopefully she is not allowed to run another business the rest of her life.

But I know the do-gooders will try to help her rip off more people in future.

Is it because the post you are trying to like has been moved or deleted? I find this may be the reason why.

If a post is edited before you have updated the version you are viewing, this may also be the reason.

Re: Who says share markets ALWAYS make money over long time periods?

Surely if the customer said Holy cough that could implie that indeed it had promoted regularity and that could be amazing.:p:lol:;)

Not in the times it's happened to me.

Thing I find surprising about this situation, is that tax is included. And isn't it bloody obvious that you'd check your worms before leaving the store?

Not what you want to hear while your main sewerage pipe is being dug up: "I don't know if it is supposed to be like that but I'll try my best!"

Better than the moment just as the surgical sleeping gas kicks in, and you hear, "What the hell is that?"

Ah they always say that or worse. "Jeez, Maate, Can you see that? It's got a hole in it!" After all this plumbing stuff is complicated.

Watching Minnesota vs SF 49s on the TV right now. Jarred Haynes just took the field!!

Ecstatic discussion by commentators of his story.

He shaped up to 'mark' a punt ... it was an uncontested sitter ...

... and he dropped it; went through his hands, clutched to his mid-rif.
