This week we have been moving office.

Moving whether it is because of change of home or work is hard work; both physically and emotionally.

Physically because you have to move or carry it and emotionally because of the documents and other things that you have to make a quick decision whether to bin it or keep it.

Now filling our 4th mini skip; but this skip wasn't so mini; 15sqm, have thrown out 4 x 1sqm of just paper and cardboard.

I found documents from the 70s, but a lot of the 80s and 90s that had to be thrown out.

I guess my main tip is clean and cull often; and think if you buy it you will have to buy it.

Also have filing cabinets those 4 tier ones, have they gone out of fashion, and now just store documents from before 2000.

With the move of office; which is less than 2kms, I have ended up with a new desk.

Next week I get to move house, but a trip to Perth and back meant that I did a big cull a few years ago, and the parents did a good job of looking after my books with book case and grandfather clock.

Can anyone guess how much a taxi would cost from KUL airport to Shah Alam. I was there many years ago. I think ~35m-40m from KUL?

Arriving ~11:00pm and departing ~6:00am if that helps.

Some various websites which claim to give you an estimate give fares between RM 46 and 53, with possibly more (up to RM 79) for fares during the graveyard times.

Shah Alam is about 40 minutes from KLIA.

Uber is available in KUL (UberX and Uber Black).

This year is racing along, 1 October already.
Is the term white rabbits still used, and I hope Green Day set there alarm for today.

My Samsung S3 has developed a glitch.

The past few days the screen is predominantly white. It appears as if the brightness setting has gone haywire. Any manual adjustment I make is useless as the screen is still too bright on lowest setting.

Any ideas? It's only ~2 years old and I will be getting a Samsung S5 soon but good to have a backup phone in Thailand.

Called planned obsolescence JohnK.

Short term I'm running a iPhone 4S and am finding more and more apps that won't work on it.

And further to that. You won't be able to go back.

Bigger is best. :p. Except my nephew had one of those giant samsung phones. Looked like he was talking on a brick. Which is exactly the size where mobile phones started. Round and round we go.

I like the size of my HTC. It still fits in my pocket :p

As a father of a 6, 3 and 1yr old there was one thing I wasn't expecting with kids. That once one gets sick - the only way to beat it, is for the entire household to be sick at the same time..

I didn't have chicken pox as a child but did when I was 32. Next one in the family to get it was my five year old. Then my 12 month old. That's one month of quarantine in one go.

You phone might be stuffed.
[h=2]Galaxy S3 Has Blank White Screen With White Lines[/h] Problem: A couple weeks ago there was some kind of update sent to my phone and since then my phone got slow and sluggish and occasionally turning off to 0% battery once my battery got below 20-30%. then eventually, after one of its shutdowns last week, I just got a blank a white screen with some lines (kinda looking like a poor tv signal except no movement).
Battery pulls stopped workin too, and one time the screen stayed frozen ON like that (white screen) even after i pulled the battery out – most confusing behavior! One tech told me the phone couldn’t be saved or repaired! PLEEEAASE say it aint so?
Solution: I’m sorry to break it to you but unless there’s someone in your area who knows how to JTAG the phone, you’ll need to buy a new motherboard to make it work again. Buying a new motherboard is almost the same as buying a new phone if you know what I mean.
Basically, this is a hardware problem. Are you familiar with “sudden death?” Well, this is one version of it. I’ve talked with an authorized Samsung tech last year regarding this issue and according to him the problem is with the eMMC controller getting busted.
This is a problem you can’t fix on your own and if you want it fixed, you need to have an expert tech to take a look at the phone.

I had chicken pox just on 5 years ago. I hate those memories. Never again.

Isn't that one of the great things about chicken pox, that you only get it once. Then maybe shingles in later life, just to look forward to.
