Back to iron. Drron, what is the range for Transferrin Saturation? The lab range is 16-60 - the 60 seems high from my readings?

I note this thread just clocked up 50,000 posts (according to to my view)!

Here's something rather interesting: a "game" where you need to keep on typing for a set amount of time. If you stop typing for five seconds, you lose.

That said, is very easy to "cheese" the game. You could sit there simply punching the keyboard for the allotted time. You could just type one or two letters continuously, or the same one or two words continuously. Backspacing counts as activity so no risk if you make mistakes and correct them.

Just been to the business lounge at CBR with SWMBO as she is off yet again to visit rellos in Canadialand. As usual, after we had finished eating breakfast and drinking our coffee at one of the small round tables, I collected the plates and cups and took them to the trolly, lounge staff not happy, "looking for a job, sir?" was his comment. Normally I get a nod and a "thanks". Won't bother anymore.

I was brought up to eat up everything on my plate and tidy up. If we were at the long tables I would not have done it. I like to think that we are all equal and that I have manners, guess some don't see it that way. I realise that you don't do it in restaurants, especially not "french" ones :), but for heavens sake, it's only a lounge.

I guess they might think it looks like they aren't doing their job. I think its better to tidy your table if you want to, and thank them with eye contact when they collect the items.

At the golf club we take our glasses back to the bar when finished. Not compulsory but a nice gesture not having things laying around on tables.

It's funny how the clearing of tables varies from place to place. In some restaurants they clear plates so quickly that you begun to think they do not have enough plates to go round. In others they linger so long you wonder if you are meant to take them out yourself.

I generally follow Pushka's approach. Tidy the table so the staff are clear that the debris is ready for collection, unless I run out of room and need to make some space. In that case it is also meant to convey subtly convey the "where have you been" message to the staff.

I have been very happy with the ALDI lawnmower I bought a few years ago.

I don't know why people still buy 2 stroke lawnmowers with a grass catchers.

I discovered 4 stroke mulcher mowers some years back.

easy to start,
no mixing oil in petrol
quieter
much less smoke,
no grass to bag- the mower "mulches" cuts up the grass so fine if falls in between the grass stems and nutrients return to grass and fine mulch conserves soil moisture

Those Honda 4stroke are so good I've got
4 stroke mower, edge trimmer, hedge cutter, blower, EU10 gennie.
(No Chain saw - probably get a Stihl)

Unfortunately no Honda loyalty program.

I retired the 2 stroke trimmer due to the kids putting 4 stroke petrol into the 2 stroker and causing the engine to die. Now only 4 stroke petrol can.

I discovered 8 years ago that it was much better getting rid of the lawns so I didn't have to buy another mower.
