I looked at the 25% off Tumi luggage in the Amazon email and thought that at 50% to 60% off it would start to look reasonably priced.

Jeeze cove the carry on stuff is pretty flash. Not sure I'd be tempted to give up my Obor market gym bag that I got in Bucharest a couple years ago though. Cost me all of AUD$3 and is still going reasonably strong.

Mind you it's only task is to carry a change of clothes, a book, and maybe a tablet/ipod.

Can't watch "The Night Manager" without thinking of "Blackadder"......, mind you, I hardly watched "House" for the same reason, although of course, I do realise he is a very talented actor.

I've missed the black adder connection. Who? what?

Another week and another weak attempt at a diet. The dietician wants me to document what I eat for 2-3 weeks so I have been weighing everything and putting into my calorie spreadsheet.

Only ~1,400 calories yesterday and I am sure I overestimated dinner as it's a home cooked meal.

Do the airlines have a calorie reckoner for their lounge fare?

Big Mac + Mc chicken burger + large fries and diet coke = 1400 Cal

Checked with reception and they said no wake-up calls in the system so can't explain it. Great.... Let's see if there's anything in the bag for today's "special occasion" given I'm Spire with them.

It would seem there was no recognition at all. Normally I wouldn't care, but before check-in part of the pre-arrival process it asks if you're there for any particular occasion, upon which I duly selected what it was. Seems a bit pointless, no?

The snacks onboard usually do have the calories on the packaging (~300-400 calories) but not the main meals. My guess would be ~500-600 calories for a serve of the hot option.

I would also guess the same calories for the hot options in the lounge.

It wouldn't be too difficult to work out calories for the salad/fruit options.

A bit of recurring gastro usually helps with dieting.....

and spicy food apparently increases metabolism a bit...

Specifically, chilli, and capsicum contains the same chemical.

The hidden calories (carbs) in food is staggering. At CIBO, there is a donut I like. 400 calories! Yet many might eat it as a snack between meals. Carrot cake - 500 calories and people might think eating carrot cake is healthier. Add a cappucino and its around 1/3 total calorie needs for the day.

Good thing I had Banana cake then yesterday...... Bunnings Cafe was out of Carrot cake. :(

I gave up milk in coffee decades ago because of the hidden calories.
It was difficult at first but now I can't even look at coffee with milk in it.

A large size regular coke would cost 250 Calories approx.

Lest anyone gets deluded by the company's healthier choices a Crispy Chicken and Spicy Mayo McWrap will cost 650 Cal.

Capsaicin is no match for its cousin Resiniferatoxin found in some Moroccan cacti being 1000 times more potent.

Still not great BB. Banana cake has around 325 calories.

The milk isnt that bad though.
Thats why I drink Coke Zero AKA Bloke Coke (which is very different to Diet Coke) and not any skim latte.

Um. I like coke zero and I'm no bloke. ;). Diet coke is dreadful.

Too little assistance to be of any issue to me. Plus wouldn't want to go to the toilet 3-4 times a day as that would mean using filthy public toilets.
