The milk isnt that bad though.

Um. I like coke zero and I'm no bloke. ;). Diet coke is dreadful.

Even full fat milk is low in fat and calories.
I prefer coke zero too; at least it tastes vaguely like normal coke compared with the diet stuff. Though I tend to avoid all softdrink unless I need a mixer.

Exactly. People worry about the fat in foods, but within limits, they are not the issue, its the Sugar!

The following health fact was sent around at work last week. I'm not sure if the 73000 calories are due to the switched milk alone, or a size and milk change. But that's a lot. When I first started here some researcher provided a fact that a can of softdrink reduced life expectancy by 1.5 days.

I rarely drink coke these days, but have heaps of coffees.

Healthy Eating Tip
Are you a regular coffee drinker? If you swap your large flat white to a regular size, you can reduce your saturated fat intake by 1.5kg per year! Swapping your morning brew from full cream to skim milk can save you even more: 3kg of saturated fat and 73,000 calories per year.

The hidden calories (carbs) in food is staggering. At CIBO, there is a donut I like. 400 calories! Yet many might eat it as a snack between meals. Carrot cake - 500 calories and people might think eating carrot cake is healthier. Add a cappucino and its around 1/3 total calorie needs for the day.

Just shows you how hard it is to stay trim. I did a 1 hour 10' gym workout today for 620 calories burned. I could blow that result in 5 minutes!!!

I think a lot of us eat way more than we realise...and plenty more than we actually need.

Yes. That is the issue. Carb loaded food that is pretty much impossible to burn off.

These days before indulging I always ask myself - is it worth the carbs to eat that? - sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Hugh Laurie.

Currently watching House on netflix. Intent on seeing how many times Lupus is mentioned while I await blood tests. :(. Last episode they did not want to call something Lupus as they commented it was a bad diagnosis. Hopefully treatment if needed has improved since then.

I have been thinking of going from Blokes coke to T2 tea as there is an outlet near me. Maybe I should.

You see it everyday. People lining up to ger their fix of coffee/milk/sugar and while they are waiting order a cake as well. That could be as much as 700-800 calories for morning tea. Some do the same thing in the afternoon as well. And then add the breakfast, lunch and dinner and you see the calories add up.

Who has sugar in coffee?

Did see a guy order a 6 shot coffee with 8 sugars once.

In the good cop/ bad cop movies the good cop offers coffee with loads of sugar to the withdrawing heroi_ addict. Apparently a sugar hit somewhat ameliorates the withdrawal symptoms???? Fact or fiction?

I always ask myself - is it worth the gym workout to eat (or drink) that? Most foods no. Good wine yes!

Wow legal drugs kill more people then illegal drugs.

Drug overdose deaths have risen for a fifth consecutive year, led by addictive medications such as Valium, which has been linked to more drug deaths than illegal narcotics.

Last year, almost twice as many overdose deaths were linked to legal prescription medication, compared to illegal drugs.
The number of drug overdose deaths jumped 8.5 per cent to 420 in 2015, marking the largest single year-on-year increase since 2010, Coroners Court of Victoria data has revealed.
In the past five years, overdose deaths have increased by nearly 23 per cent from 342 deaths in 2010.
