Thanx for all the good wishes you guys have sent. I certainly appreciate the wishes, even though I haven't met most of you yet (except through this fabulous forum), but hope to in the future. :)

Seems we may now have an answer to what has been causing my lack of body temperature control.

Since returning home have now had lots of blood tests chest xray and CT scans, which have concluded on Friday with reports describing

'a mass measuring 16.6cm long by 10cm transverse by 7.5 cm replacing almost the entire right kidney, with a presence of speckled calcification within the mass suggesting renal cell malignancy.'

"Three pulmonary nodules as described are most likely metastatic.'

Looks like I could have an interesting time ahead.

I guess the lesson is that if you report to your GP, as I did that, you don't feel as well as you think you ought, and nothing is done, then its time to change your GP, so If you have, or know of anyone exhibiting mild chronic symptoms get them to see a doc and have tests until a cause is found and resolution is initiated.

Interestingly my blood test results have (for the last 4 years) a comment saying.

'An eGFR between 60-89 ml/min/1.73m2 (mine was) does not exclude the presence of chronic kidney disease. Follow-up may be indicated. Refer to Kidney Health Australia | Kidney Health Australia'

Best of health for a speedy recovery

I saw that Mal. WES are doing a market update next week that should be interesting. I bet National Australia Bank would have loved going to the UK to find fame and fortune about a decade ago.

Well they do have Clydesdale Bank here....

Yes Flashback and NAB is gone from their disaster now. You can buy a share in CYBG in Australia if you have a 5 dollar note or two in your pocket. You guys are about to live through Brexit or Grexit so be a shining example of common sense and leave a light on.
Not being able to brown up toast or suck up dirt in a vacuum cleaner seems to be the reasons for leaving the Union.

Thank you for the well wishes - I am on the improve.

Sleeping ~13 hours straight does wonders for the human body in times of need.

Good to hear penegal

I think my liver has almost recovered enough following last weekend to do another wine tour....

You probably could, though they wouldn't appreciate taking single bottles out of the pre-formed six packs. You would need to take them from another line where bottles are singly sold.

The way I read the sign is that you can't mix and match the bottles to create a mixed six pack.

In one way it's hard to comprehend this if all the six packs are the same price (e.g. 6 bottles of beer A is the same as 6 bottles of beer B, so why can't I have 3 of each). On the other hand, if there are no lines to sell these beers as single bottles, then there are problems created if you're allowed to mix and match beers in a six pack.

That's correct. In that store, no singles are sold.

Not anymore, got my money for Clydesdale Bank in the last month.

My uranium (except they've sold out of uranium) investment are now offering to to sell my (now) less than $500 holdings for free. Great give me a burden to track capital losses.

Indeed

A 2 week work trip (mostly sub 6hr sleeps, including meetups with PF, Shrek & HFCers), then a wine trip, and then Cabaret Festival was pretty exhausting. A quick 36hr visit to Melbourne to check my house is still there, and I am off on the road again... But man, that sleep has been very necessary.

I am "taking it easy" this week.

Question for the female fraternity - any secrets to overcoming the 'no power point' problem in English hotel bathrooms when you are trying to dry your hair? Asking on behalf of the Ette - haven't been able to do thing with mine either since we arrived. ;)

Is there not a power point just outside the room down the wall, if so, is the lead long enough - ask for an extension cord ;) I asked about it once and it is a safely thing.

A #5 haircut?
or after your husband has shaved you bald in a spot - because he forgot to put the cutting head back on, it could end up a #2 (speaking from experience) and yes ladies he is still alive.

Learnt today that Learner Drivers no longer have a driving test or need to learn from a registered trainer to get their P licence. Simply have a log book of 75 hours signed off eg by licensed parent, have L for 12 months and you are good for a P.

(Maybe jury is out on this?)
