I know I shouldn't complain because some people aren't as lucky to be able to comfortably do the things that they want to do. But my job satisfaction levels have really plummeted of late and I'm constantly lacking the motivation to drag myself into my Hotel job on a daily basis.

I've recently resumed employment with Woolworths as a second job and was lucky to be offered the opportunity to resume in a similar supervisory role to what I held prior to when I left in 2013 and I really enjoy working there and being around a great team, unfortunately, as a casual role the paycheck doesn't come close to covering my outgoings on a weekly basis which is slightly disheartening.

Have considered leaving but looking at the sad state of the jobs market in Hobart shuts down that idea quite quickly. So I'll remain between my rock and my hard place.

Not quite sure why I felt this AFF worthy, I think I just needed to put onto paper what was running through my head as I sit and slide this single sheet of reservation paperwork from one side of the desk to the other (for the last 20 minutes).

Some random musings from me in that case then, jsd! A one off comment by penegal and multiple from JohnK about exercise, eating and such was enough to give me a little kickstart again. Now, I'm not overweight by any stretch of the imagination but the beer gut could do with some work! Managed to drop 7kg over the last 6 weeks or so and that's just by eating better (NB: less junk!) and 2 days (at most......) exercise a week. Mind boggles what more exercise would result in.

I came across the Sixto Rodriguez story a few years ago and downloaded "Searching For The Sugarman" - a great story.

We saw him in Adelaide when he came out a couple of years back - excellent concert. He is coming out again later this year I see but we will be o/s at the time. If you get a chance go and see him perform as his eyesight is rapidly fading.

Listened to James Morrison tonight. Absolutely unreal.

James Morrison was very directly involved with son's school. Frequently performed and tutored with the school orchestra and multiple events. Lucky lucky kids.

Last Monday's Australian Story was on James Morrison and his friendship with Don Burrows.Great story and worth watching.

You couldn't make this stuff up! Poor woman, after suffering the unimaginable indignity of being raped, she gets locked up. If this is true and I realize there is absolutely no compensation that would be enough, I hope she gets millions..... Why doesn't it surprise me that it allegedly happened in Texas.

A rape victim in Texas was jailed after breaking down in the middle of testifying against her rapist

A more befitting punishment might be imprisonment of the defending parties, but frankly I don't hold much for this woman winning this case against the justice system. A gingerly discussed settlement might be her best outcome.

This one is difficult as it seems to stem from an apparent mental condition but not being there to understand how it could work out that way is confusing. The part about her being treated as an offender rather than a victim in jail, however, boggles the mind; if true, someone needs to have their legs broken for that.

I got really angry at the luggage carousel yesterday and got a few people angry.

Sick and tired of people moving inside the yellow line and standing in front of me so I cannot see luggage on carousel. Stupid selfish morons. Stand back and everyone can see their luggage coming out on carousel. Lost my cool. Had some heated discussions with a few waiting.

Just as well customs officers didn't come over to intervene.

Looks like we had identical flights except for QF420 for me which I may not make tomorrow morning.

I must be misunderstanding the codeshare arrangement. I want QF boarding pass for SCs/QFF points but apparently it is an EK boarding pass with QF codeshare flight on it.

Flight looks to be way oversold. My carefully chosen 67G bulkhead has disappeared. Handed boarding pass for 15D. I changed to 26J as the only window seat available. Tired but may not sleep.

I booked via Zuji as Qantas was not selling this routing from KUL. I wanted to try something different.

Does not matter what boarding pass it is, you will get QF SC and Points if the flight you are booked on is QF8404.

I got got an Emirates boarding pass with QF8404 on it.
I got QF ~, SC, points

Glad you got some consideration for QF loyalty from EK!!.

More interesting you got these 3 flights on one PNR via Zuji.
I might have to look at that or maybe a TA (shock horror)
Did you get a good price? Also what was the ticket stock number?.

I almost lost my cool the other day at the train station.

How <expletive> hard is it for people to understand basic train etiquette: let everyone off the train first by standing to the side and providing clear passage for those disembarking to get out, then proceed to board the train.

Thankfully a little bit of light pushing was all that was required for people to get the hint, otherwise I would have never been able to get off the train.
