No they don't seem to be made past 100.
The sad news for 100 year olds is all their old school chums are gone.

Well, making it past 100 should get something better than a balloon anyway. Each year.

It does remind me that buying gifts for people is exceedingly difficult (except for "hackneyed" gifts, e.g. Lotto / Scratch-It tickets, mens underwear, gift cards, chocolates, flowers...)

I never thought about it that way. One might think they might even outlive some family (viz. sons or daughters).

You wouldn't think it'd be possible to go 59 years without obtaining any sort of decent ID. You'd be wrong.

When you get too old to drive and travel you then cease to have an ID in the way of a passport or photo on a drivers licence.
We took the olds to the motor vehicle licence place with an original birth certificate and Medicare card to obtain a photo ID. Not too hard but necessary for 2016 and onwards.

Tried to convince my Dad to keep his drivers license in VIC but not interested despite only ~$130. Ten year passports used to be similar cost but now like double the cost.

Proof of Age from Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) only costs $10 whereas a Australia Post Keypass identity card costs about $50. Keypass is accepted as proof of age for entry into licensed venues throughout Australia (excluding WA).

Can we leave the climate change arguments off this thread? I think they can be highly political and I don't feel like being the target of threats again.
It's not climate change that is the real issue, it's the inability of some to accept rational scientific data but rather rely on superstition and hearsay that's the real issue. Obviously they do not do that for air travel nor medicine unexplainable.

Now I agree with this statement but obviously for different reasons to you.
Now over 4000 days since the USA has been hit by a Category 3 or higher hurricane-the longest interval on record.
I promise nothing more on the subject until at least November!:oops:;)

Had to provide ID to access yesterdays work site. The only three that they accept were Passport, Drivers License and Keypass.

I'm not allowed to comment anymore, until at least November:)
