A lot is happening around the World today

NZ..........Labour Day
Israel......Shemini Atzeret
Thailand..Chulalongkorn Holiday

Must have been very special for those who flew the Concorde jet on its last commercial passenger flight from New York JFK to London LHR, this day in 2003

10c this morning in Sydney, activated heated car seats for my commute to work

I have it in my car but have never used it. Some cars have a steering wheel heater. My in car thermostat is permanently set to 18C. Didnt neec a coat either. Love the chill. Hate the heat and humidity.
Luckily we have individual temp setting in car. Wife uses 24C.
She also needs heated ski boots and heated ski gloves:shock:

Would you believe the RBA's analysis then?

Understand where you are coming from. But my sources tell a different story.
So anyway I come back to this:

Everyone wants first class services for Free. Everyone ignores the universal truth that there is no free anything let alone a free lunch, no one wants to pay for anything. Government pay for services.
So yes governments have to find "taxes" from elsewhere.

If everyone and not just some pays enough taxes to cover all recurrent expenditure we would not need to asset recycle. Bear in mind the vast majority of the population do not pay net taxes.
Its easy really.

Pensions are the product of the bigget Ponzi scheme perpetrated on the population. The only way any government can currently pay for pensions is to create more taxpayers.

Back to OT. Chilling.....

Went to a 7-Eleven in Kuala Lumpur last night and bought 3 Carlbergs on special for MYR23 and 2 Coke Zeros at MY2.35 each.

He starts ringing things up on cash register and the total comes to $40.70. I laughed inside as I had no idea how he managed to get that number. "That's not right!" He starts removing and adding things and comes to $37.70! I am still laughing inside. "The 3 Carlsbergs are on special for MYR23!" I said. He then starts removing and adding things again and gets to $27.70 this time. ;) "Oh promotion!" he says.

Honest mistake? Seriously not good.

Definitely not an honest mistake.
happened to me in bukit bintang at a 7-11. Probably happening because other tourists just pay up and walk away especially with the MYR/AUD = 3:1.

Where do you stay in KL?
Holiday Inn Express. Looks nice. Big room. Good sleep but lots of noise comes in from outside?

I definitely didn't walk away. I thought I gave him MYR28 with an MYR20 note and 8 x MYR1 notes but he only counted MYR27. He was counting in a funny way so may have swiped an MYR1 note. I then counted again myself and gave him an extra MYR1 note and waited for the 30c change. Can't stand businesses trying to rip off tourists.

I usually collect a couple of hundred pages of paper that I then have to shred later on, last week I got a "Stack and Shred" cross cut shredder.

Reviews werent that great online but it seems to do the job and its quite.

It's our anniversary today. The all important cotton milestone. But in all the stress of getting mum's house sold I haven't had any time or money to get MrsGM the presents I had hoped to get. And she went and organised a surprise overnight stay at a secret location. I'm going to have to work hard to make it up to her.
