Of course the other thing to do in SIN - just like most of the rest of Asia - is eat. ;) :) :D Satay anyone?

Which is the main thing I do in Singapore (oh and drink!, but beer isn't as cheap of course).

Actually I like Singapore because it's safe, clean, the food is normally well prepared (and not very likely to give you food poisoning) and getting around is pretty easy.

Keep in mind a trip to SIN for me isn't just a trip to SIN. Why take the short way to somewhere when there are equally as good longer ways?

Your time from Int'l gate to Dom lounge, according to your tweet, was excellent even for MEL.

Although I'm guessing that being in J you got an Express Pass and you had nothing to declare, and/or the time you arrived in MEL it is not the peak time for arrivals.

No J Express pass for me; but it was quiet; I think it was those SYD-MEL JQ Int runs connecting to Brisbane so I had the route already practiced. :!:

My problem is that there's not a lot to do in SIN, and I've seen a good deal of it. Admittedly most of that sightseeing was over 15 years ago now, but still. Probably the only other things I'd like to do is go to Batam and cross over for a day trip to JB (although people say there's not a lot to do there at all). Maybe see a bit more of SIN city centre, but that's it.

Singapore has a few new things; MRT has grown like mad; and the Jurong Bird Park was really good, and eating yes is very cheap; compared to Australia.

Beer at the Conrad is still expensive though.

It got to 20.6 here today.
But rained a lot - and cold - need a jacket waiting for the bus this monring and an umbrella for the 100 meter dash to the station.

We even had Hailstones here last night.

Isn't that perfect weather for you, serfty?

I mean, isn't that like going to the Driving Range except you don't have to drive (to the range) and the balls are free? :p

Not at all; give me a low humidity 28°-32° day and I'm sweet ...

Besides golf balls don't generally melt - they do seem to disappear occasionally though ...

There are other similarities as well - smashed windows, damage to cars etc ... but that does depend on the nature of the player.

You don't want to get hit by a stray golf ball. It hurts and leaves a bruise for days.

Still remember the news when a 16 year old girl died from a fractured skull a few years ago after being hit by a golf ball. Link to story.

42.2 in Perth today, just as well I've escaped to KTA (or is it....?). It may be more humid here, but it actually feels a bit nicer than what it did in PER before I left.

Not too bad here today, will again be cooler at night as there’s no cloud cover. Something to remember for AFF drinks tomorrow night for sure.

All this temperature talk is getting very much on topic! ;)

Speaking of weather, I sure hope that the possible cyclone in North Qld doesn't form and stick around. I've got a much needed short 5 day holiday there from Sat.

I think I've found the solution to having to be at the airport at 5.45am, a power nap when you finally get to the hotel and check-in after having been on-site at the client's all day

It was forcast worse earlier today.

I have a short SFO turnaround ... that can be dicey if it's cloudy.

Thanks Sam.

I thought I would stop at the 10,000 post club thread. I think the next important milestones are 15,000 posts then 20,000 posts. With serfty's current posting rate shouldn't be too long before he hits 15,000 posts. ;)
