Love_the_life and I are sharing a room there for 2.5 nights in April. I think it was around $480 a night. Between us it's almost manageable. I'll grab the snacks off the plane so we can eat those instead of food.
Don't worry about the plane snacks . The thought of 3 days of salted nuts/pretzels is not appealing.

If they get the club room, breakfast, snacks and drinks are included on the pool level... which is how I justified booking a club room.

And theres always the hawkers market for cheap eats.

Hubby reminded me that 3 weeks from today we head off for Easter Island... the long way.

Too soon to put in for 2018 annual leave?

And besides there are hundreds of restaurants in the marina shopping centre - you could stay a month and not eat in the same restaurant twice.

Yes but are they free?

Well, these are free.

The satay market is nice and cheap.

What I disliked about the Marina Bay shopping centre is its TOO big, its like Westfields on steroi_s on Christmas Eve. Its nuts. I dont like to pack a snack just so I can hike my way to get to dinner.

But, after being on a tiny Indo island for almost 2 weeks with limited meals, hitting the Brazilian carvery/restaurant for an all you can eat totally hit the spot. Pretty sure hubby told the guy to just leave the entire piece of beef on his plate.

We have a house, shack and investment apartment. Power now gone in 2 out of 3. SA Power sucks. It isn't windy or stormy just hot.
That appears to be a regular occurrence your way. Time to move.

I look also for three nights in April. But I didn't look very long.

Our budget stretched to the Carlton. That will do.

It's easier when the one 'household' isn't paying the bill. I imagine we are off peak but April also has Easter which will be peak season.

This is what I remind hubby, when he talks about a friend that just shows up at the airport and picks whatever is going cheapest.

Me: Yes, but shes travelling solo and is happy to sleep on a park bench or hostel. You think economy and a club room at Marina Bay Sands is "roughing it".

Kit Kat flavours in Japan: More than 300 flavours and one Australian wants to try them all

Yes - we did do similar with ice cubes when the fridge was more stocked when the kids were young. If the ice was flat the food was chucked away.
Some good ideas here.

Apparently 40,000 homes blacked out yesterday for load shedding. Why? We were only producing 2% of our energy needs. It wasn't windy enough!

Our stupid go it all renewable policy without backup when green doesn't work is killing us.

And just remember from next year the price of LNG is predicted to rise dramatically as curtis Island gets into full swing-our LNG being exported therefore domestic prices rise.
Your government only has LNG back up stations. They blew up the Port Augusta coal fired station 9 months ago.
So expect just as unreliable power but at a much more expensive price.

Dont remember how many different flavours my husband found in Kit Kats but we bought bags of the stuff home to give to friends. Every town/area have their own special flavour as well, so Hiroshima was citrus but Kyoto was cinnamon and green tea, Toyko was blueberry by memory.

There is a store at Tokyo station that stocks them from all over.

My boss liked the wasabi one.

Somehow managed to miss all the Kit Kats when we were in Japan, though Im not a huge fan of wafers anyway.

My friend was very happy when she found TimTams at Pepperidge Farms in Florida
