Rather upscale from my normal "digs" in Singapore is the Perak Hotel on the edge of Little India. Considered boutique. Very clean and convenient to the modern city as well as Little India. likely half the Vagabond in price.

We've stayed at Wanderlust Hotel a few times in Little India. Rooms are small but otherwise is good and breakfast is included in room price. If you are looking at spending $$$$ on a room, at least check if you can book with a Virtuoso travel agent to get other benefits (usually breakfast included and $100 credit for either food and drinks or for spa services depending on hotel).

What I disliked about the Marina Bay shopping centre is its TOO big, its like Westfields on steroi_s on Christmas Eve. Its nuts. I dont like to pack a snack just so I can hike my way to get to dinner.

They do have the biggest Crocs store I have ever seen :!:

There are much bigger Crocs stores in the USA. I went to an outlet mall near the Mexican border in California, the Crocs store there was HUGE - I bought 3 pairs !

Ah yes aircon. My neck, shoulders, ribs are sore as wife has been turning on aircon at night as daughter is hot and sweats a lot.

I hate these aches. Feels stiff. Very heavy. Non stop pain. And people wonder why I always wear jacket.
