Wife wants to buy new handbag. I gave her the money and she can buy the handbag. I don't want to be involved in the selection process.
I am being to mean?

I certainly wouldn't let Ron buy me a handbag - although he should know my likes and dislikes by now ;)

I see the cruise ads, I say to hubby; Thats our future, right there.

Hubby says, Over my dead body.

Me: Well, from what I hear, death might be an option.

House inspection while we were at work yesterday. Someone decided to poke around in the clothes dryer which I find utterly confusing given its an appliance that isnt part of the house....

As long as they took their underwear out of the drier afterwards!

I was eyeing of those European river cruises in small group sizes. Hubby still says no.

Have done one; advantage is that you visit places you probably wouldn't go to otherwise, disadvantage they can become rather claustrophobic as there are limited places to escape to. As well the tour guides can be pretty hit and miss. We had to endure several shockers, though managed to escape and do our own thing in a couple of places. The China river cruise was better. Seemed to be a lot of Americans on both; those on the China one were much more tolerant and interesting. As well the walking groups were smaller and better put together - super slowies in one group rather than holding up everyone else.

Oh and not forgetting that if the river is too high or too low, you may end up on a bus tour instead.

Aus Post has returned another parcel, this time as "unknown at this address" despite it being the address provided by the customer...

Jazz musician Al Jarreau has died, Al Jarreau: Grammy-Winning Jazz Artist Dies at 76 | Time.com 76 really isn't that old.....

Also Leon Russell, :( http://www.rollingstone.com/music/n...ed-songwriter-and-musician-dead-at-74-w450174

Along with Butch Trucks in January as well. One of the drummers from the Allman Brothers. Anyone that has ever heard the "Top Gear" theme would have heard one of their tracks, albeit a modern cover version.

I will be happy to wander around Spotlight etc, as I'm sure I can find something to attract my attention...but if the kids are with us, sometimes they'd rather stay in the car so I have to as well [and Mrs QF WP is happy about that as well ;)].
Same could be said for my wanderings through a sports (say golf) store...she'd rather find something else to do, whatever it is...

Ah yes, you understand my handle...:cool::rolleyes:

JohnK, on handbags. I have absolutely and positively no interest in purchasing/reviewing/commenting on handbags for wives. OTOH the limit is it needs to be small enough that she can carry it once populated with all the things she (as a woman) would place inside it.

Happy wandering

Fred
