Mindframe

So the peak in suicides was 1963.Males outnumber females 3 to 1.The highest incidences are males over 40 with the highest males over 85.

I think that those over 85 figures would be substantially reduced if euthanasia was an option.

You know you're busy when you have barely time to check TOTT (the "unread" posts have backed up 2 pages @ 100 posts per page) and the last time you've turned on your personal laptop was 4 days ago!

Just catching up on the last 6 days myself. Creeps up on you very quick. Just the usual work shenanigans for me, thought it would be quieter when I brought a few people in to take load off me but nope.

Hope the new career is going well, seems like an age ago we had that wonderful weekend in CH.

Meanwhile in Perth we have an election and Mrscove received a robo call from Mark McGowan last night. I do think she would have hung up no matter which party was calling. On the other hand I had to hang up on the scammer who phoned about an accident I did not have. So much for the do not call register......

If I were home and get such a call I would take a note of the business and never use it.Come to think of it I will do the same as when I see a vehicle branded with a business name doing illegal things-phone or email the business and let them know my disgust with their drivers attitude and why it makes me less likely to use their business.I don't identify time or place as I don't want someone losing their job even if sometimes they are stupid.Pointless letting Telstra know though.

Me too, and we are on the Do NOt Call Register too, but all these calls are from India/Phillipines IMO, I just hang up as soon as I hear the voice now.
.

Buy a Storm Whistle. Wont stop them but might bring you great personal satisfaction

We thought it was a possum eating the ripe tomatoes. But it was this.

We always let unknown numbers ring through to the answering machine before we pick up (or not). We can tell the unsolicited 'charity' calls as they never leave a message, so I do a search for the number and when it shows 9 times out of 10 as one of those, I then block the number on the phone so it doesn't ring and goes straight to message bank. Have only a few numbers in it so far but seems to work well. Do the same on the mobile as I that seems to get a few now as well.
We get zero cold calls from legitimate businesses.

Got an unsolicited phone call from a real estate agent number on a private number.

Reported to the do not call register.

LOL just booked our two mutts in for their Xmas holidays - $2,950 + GST. I even have the pleasure of paying 100% by the end Sept .... hmmm, kennels might be a decent "silent" investment.

What's this +GST cough? I thought it was illegal to advertise items at a cost with +GST except for very specific business transactions.

Ouch, that seems rather high.

Could you get house/dog sitters for less than that?

Happy wandering
