Certainly not me !!! After breaking my leg and ankle all I can manage is a 2" wedge

I only lasted about 15 minutes in my pair - and 10 of that was sitting down to eat.
Since last October, walking down from Mt Sinai (no commandments left up there) and damaging my knee, I can't wear anything that pulls on the muscle around the knee, so they only lasted 5 minutes of walking, made more difficult by the gaps in the terracotta tiles. They are back in their box, on the top shelf.

When we arrived at Singapore on Friday (qf81), there was an Air Berlin plane which appeared to be either a 737 or A320, it was small. quick search couldn't find any info, but I wouldn't like to fly in something that small from to/from Europe. Didn't get the rego unfortunately.

I don't believe that is a scheduled flight. Maybe maintenance or charter?

Lauda Air used to fly a 737 from Vienna to somewhere in Asia - stopping in Dubai (either Seychelles or Sri Lanka or Maldives or sommit). Long 7 hour sectors. Agree it wouldn't be pretty.

AB once went to Thailand and China. They still do some long haul to USA and surrounds but it appears they use A330's for DUS-JFK/LAX. They do a 737 route between TXL-TLV.

So it is quite out of place.

Amazing backdrop at the test match in India. Resting at the foot of the Himalayas on a clear blue sky.

Interesting check-in experience last night at BNE priority check.

CIA: "Where is.... CGK?"
Me: "Indonesia!"

....

CIA:"So you are going to Bali?"
Me: "No. Jakarta. Island of Java next to Bali."
CIA: "Oh."

Funny comment on flight the other day. We try booking aisle and window and with shadow effect of WP hope that the middle seat stays empty. We always select around row 6-8 as the first couple of rows seem to get fully booked.

Clearly this was also the strategy of the more senior couple behind us. And they had been successful - until this flight. Another pax arrived at their row and indicated their middle seat. Lady was quite affronted by this saying 'we always have a spare seat next to us, can I see your boarding pass'. Of course the other pax was in the correct row. So lady said huffily 'well I suppose we have to let you have the seat'. Hilarious. PS - our middle seat stayed wonderfully empty.

Mum accidentally called me with video call on wifes phone. Wife holding daughter and daughter can see and hear daddy but she keeps looking around clearly confused as she cannot find daddy.

Daughter teething and not comfortable yesterday. Mum says she didn't smile all day except the 2 phone calls to me where she can hear my voice.

Can't complain about my free Hertz President's Circle status. Booked a Kia Picanto (manual) for a few days and was given a Volvo V40 (auto).

I think that's a 4 group upgrade rather than the 1 guaranteed?

My AFL footy tips are not going too well this weekend. It's 2 am and I am off the pace.

Looks like some delays coming up NQ for the next few days...

Hope everyone stay safe

I saw Daniel was driving a hired Volvo and we are driving a "poverty pack" Hyundai that has no sensors and no reversing camera. Still I cannot really complain as it is $30 US a day with comprehensive insurance included. It has made me wish that more road repairs were being made as we feel all the bumps.Driving in California is always a bit challenging.
