Managed to blow the fuse for the kitchen, laundry and bathroom tonight - it's an electrician's job unfortunately. Have managed to hook the fridge up on an extension cord but washing machine and dishwasher were mid cycle.

Am apprehensive that the hot water cylinder runs on the same line too.

Isn't replacing a fuse relatively easy? Bunnings usually open at 6-7am in my area.

Hot water will be on seperate circuit. Replacing fuse (or circuit breaker these days?) is very easy. Sure you just didn't trip out an earth leakage breaker?
