*gag* dead hair on the floor is hideously gross in my books. I cannot stand it, especially other people's hair. That would warrant a call to housekeeping.

I've managed to stain several pillow cases (and top of sheet) in my time when I have stayed soon after I've had red dye in my hair. I've always left a note apologising and asking them to speak with me if there is an issue and never heard a peep. I now travel with a black pillow case!
Housekeeper is useless.

We only asked for towels to be changed today. No sheets. Wife cleaned floor and bathroom as housekeeper did not do it. Housekeeper then came to lightly mop. Not good. Not going to complain as don't want someone to lose their job.

And how much a day are you paying for this room?

Housekeeper pulls up guest for soiling sheets with food stains. Asks guest to make good.

Housekeeper now the baddie, repeatedly criticised, called useless and guest is now the victim.

If my husband tried to get me to stay in a $7 per night hotel, with dirty sheets and floors, they would find his body dumped on the side of the road.

I don't black light our hotel rooms but at least I don't feel I have to wear flip flips to shower/walk around the room either.

Speaking of hotels. Staying at the Chancellor in Hobart in August. Hopefully it's nice.

He has woken up with a pillow on his face and me applying pressure. That's where I went wrong, too much pressure, too quickly.

But he stopped snoring :) or he was afraid to go back to sleep...
Possibly the latter
But at least not snoring so quiet for you! Though others may have decided to sleep in another room (I have a friend who does when her hubby wakes her with his snoring - she just ups and changes rooms).

Yeah, but then the concern is he's dead at so I creep my hand across the bed to poke him and he yells, "What?!" at me. Which actually happened a couple of nights ago. He wasn't happy. Damned humidifier, cleared up his sinuses as well.

Hotel a little more than $7/night.

This trip Superior twin room has cost $34/night including breakfast but should get 4%-5% cashback from Agoda. The superior twin room next month has cost $25/night not including breakfast and 4%-5% cashback from Agoda.

But it gets better. I have booked 3 nights in October for $7.77, $12.10 and $13.25/night including breakfast. I love using $25 JQ hotel vouchers to book 1 night stays. Would love another 3-4 vouchers between now and then. ;)

Good to see times are changing. Wasn't that long ago you had a pretty wicked view of JQ...

Love the strings.

I was heading to bed and stumbled across the Crowded House concert from the Sydney Opera House steps. I am still gutted I missed tickets to it.

They released their Recurring Dreams album in my Uni days and it's been the soundtrack for so many memories for me. Very nostalgic for a Sunday night.

And to the other extreme...already set the box to record the Tonys tomorrow! Have been exploring a bit of the music Dear Evan Hansen and enjoying it. And of course, that led me down the rabbit hole of YouTube clips which invariably leads me to Audra McDonald.

This is my favourite Opera House gig ... shame I was was only 12 at the time.

I saw Stevie when he performed it "inside" the Opera House.

Moved the humidifier towards the door/hallway last night and its not the right spot. Will return to spot #2 and reduce the humidity % to see how that works.

Or restart my campaign to move to Darwin. The humidity in Darwin is perfectly fine!
