*jaw drop*

To think that without Thurston we had no chance, particularly as we didn't really win the second match, but rather it was gifted to us.

I didn't watch the game so I didn't see the madness unfold.

I wonder what the betting odds were going into the game.

Saw QLD $2.45 before the game.

Thurston's replacement had two try assists ...

We bought a Miele dryer for work as Hoovers were dying after 6 months. At work we do approximately 5 loads of washing per day 6 days a week. We retired that dryer and brought it home as we purchased a condensing dryer because of all the steam at work. The dryer in its retirement now only does one load a day...... faultlessly. Not bad for dryer purchased in 1991.

Our Miele washing machine purchased also in 1991 only lasted till 2014 at work.

1981 no-name dryer still going strong, shame the white plastic door is now yellow though!

Don't buy a Miele! Ours is just about to turn 7 years old and luckily we somehow managed to get 7 year warranty due to a keyboard error :D The thing is a lemon ... they must have spent 3x the purchase price on a fix and it's still stuffed. We have 7 Miele appliances and I'm pretty sure we won't buy another one.
oh really? Our Miele induction cooktop and oven are 16 years old and have never had a problem. I have heard the quality is not what it used to be.

Its like most things, they move manufacture elsewhere and the quality drops. Hearing the same about Kitchenaid, its not the same as the older models (which I have).

Edit: Going with another F&P sensor dryer. Reviews are either love it or hate it, its noisy or quite. Fingers crossed I get another 12yrs out of its replacement.

Trying to teach my husband a lesson.

Hes a bulk buyer, thinks if one is on special then 6 must be saving us money!

This morning I threw out (all out of date) 4 x Curash baby powder, 2 x 400 cotton tip cleaner thingys (had enough to last 20yrs), 2 x pouring cream, 2 x Fess Nasal stuff, 2 x Hirudoid cream, 2 x Betadine mouth gargle, 3 x paprika, 5 x hair mouse.

But first I made him stand there as I tossed every single one in the bin, one by one and reminded him that his hoarding is driving me nuts and wasting money.

Parents first Lawn mower lasted 20 odd years. Second about 10. Third, who knows?

Sad to see the Queen looking so frail... or those jewels are weighing her down.

You throw things out based on a generic use by date without checking?

We are a very wasteful society and manufacturers have us exactly where they need us.

You are more than welcome to the Paprika that was tossed.... use by date was 2014 by memory.

Kept the Vegemite though, its only 2 years out of date so still good (hubbys the only one that eats it anyway).

Found some 1985 expired vegemite in my grandmas cupboard a couple of years ago...it was probably still fine

Many chemical-based products should be tossed as you can't bue sure they will work like they are supposed to.

A bit harsh!

LOL. Never can be too careful with our of date hair mice! :)

I would have thought those cotton tip thingys and the Fess (just salt solution) would have lasted for next use? Curash baby powder just powder and 25% zinc oxide so indestructible.

But I was making a point to the husband! ;)

Yes but um ahh but, if the point you are trying to make is "clearly a little OCD" then you will ruin your credibility when you say he should wash his own socks! :)

Never argue logic when it concerns Denali teaching her husband a lesson.

Serfty did you get the automatic mower from Masters? I saw it at a store opening in Sydney.

We bought a McCulloch lawn mower from Masters on sale, Briggs and Stratton engine, can't go wrong......
