Not necessarily AisleSeat. He could just throw in some clothes straight off hangers.

Dates are applied for very valid reasons.
Understood but throwing something out based on a generic used by date doesn't make sense. Meat is one example. Potato crisps are another example. Spaghetti. Yoghurt. Eggs. And the list goes on and on.

Haha. You should tell him to test the dryer out straight away. Of course that means he must do a load of washing first.

He said, theres this tray thing but I dont know what its for.

I told him its to put inside the dryer to dry shoes so they dont tumble around, they sit on the tray.

Hes still trying to get his head around this.

Very sad for the family. Ive seen it on youtube before and people can take a big hit from the blast, even hitting the sand looks like it hurts for some.

Hubby just phoned to say new dryer has been delivered and "Do you want me to leave it in the box for you to unveil it when you get home or should I open it and leave the instructions on top of it for you to study later?".

Dont know if hes a brave man or a stupid man.

You should do that with his socks next time to teach him a lesson! :)

What? He's been watching the shoes go round and round for many years has he? :)

I think hes confused on why someone would want warm shoes or would clean their shoes.

Maybe I need to say its not like a towel warmer, for your comfort. Its for sports shoes that got muddy and wet.

Trying to teach my husband a lesson.

Hes a bulk buyer, thinks if one is on special then 6 must be saving us money!

This morning I threw out (all out of date) 4 x Curash baby powder, 2 x 400 cotton tip cleaner thingys (had enough to last 20yrs), 2 x pouring cream, 2 x Fess Nasal stuff, 2 x Hirudoid cream, 2 x Betadine mouth gargle, 3 x paprika, 5 x hair mouse.

But first I made him stand there as I tossed every single one in the bin, one by one and reminded him that his hoarding is driving me nuts and wasting money.

Paprika!

Noooooo!!!!

We bring back a kilo each year from Europe where we can get it at 1/10th the price in Australia, and have to ration its use even so.

Yes, vegemite seems indestructible as long as it is stored out of the sun.

There was a "Checkout" episode that explore the "con" that most 'use by', 'best before', 'use before' etc etc dates are generally for items other than fresh food. There are some exceptions (like nuts going rancid) but otherwise
most dry goods (for example) can be stored indefinitely just like happens all around the world when there are bumper harvests exceeding demand.

I just bought him 12 new pairs of socks. To go with his new shoes.

True or false?

True or false?

True. But he still has his old boots, hes slowly breaking the new boots in, like one walk per week and walking around the house with them.

I had cooking cream in the fridge, use by date 9th July and it was the 13th July. Chicken, fish and cream - Im not risking it.

Does he lose his life long pension and perks?

interesting question. Given that his election was invalid I would think so. In fact he should pay back his salary and perks already paid, but pollies would never permit that.

Its currently 27.3c in my office, humidity level is 35% and Comfort Level is :-|.

Literally, this not happy face :-| is on the screen.

It also thinks Im in the tropics somewhere (Guam?) because the forecast is blazing hot sun image.

This thread has over 65,000 posts now. Wow.

I know - never thought it would be quite so popular when I first posted.

some staff are just thick.

That has reminded me I need to upload that EMPLO... file thingy, I only need to do it once a year but its annoying to remember how to do it.

EMPDUPE? I remember it...but my wife does all of that for us now ;)

Excellent, I can never run for public office then (not that I have ANY desire), as there is NO way I'm giving up my Irish passport ;D

Was just asked if I was looking to buy any of the below TVs in a survey.

Do they even make these anymore?

I remember when you mentioned your Hubby didn't know the difference between Brocoli and Cauliflower. I was going to make a joke about him living a sheltered life and whether you found him in a sheltered... Well it's too mean a joke.
