It's specifically pre-natal leave. I'm entitled to an unlimited amount of this type of leave, providing I show medical certificates.

Sweet! We have 5 days paid special Leave on the event of a child being born or adoption.

Usually a life changing health event can change a persons attitude to spending. My eldest brother survived a seriously blocked artery and he went out shopping yesterday. He never used to do that.

That would depend on age.

She finds the purchase of handbags somewhat cathartic and had had lots of such therapy over the years.

We can't store them all - this has been much to our daughters' delight as they probably haven't paid for a bag in years.

Pacemakers are nearly a dime a dozen these days. And you get excellent service from the manufacturer who do free lifetime regular pacemaker checks.
Unfortunately not yet at the point where the pacemaker battery can be wirelessly recharged.

Shipping containers are excellent. I have 2 x 20 foot sitting in the paddock.
use it for storing animal feed and other stuff.
The ground has been prepped for a 3rd

Driving along major road in Sydney and the 2009 VW golf engine suddenly died.
Unable to start. Eventually battery also died due to repeated attempts at starting and hazards

Towed to VW.

Had bought diesel 20 min prior but I don't think it's contaminated fuel or water as the engine suddenly died rather than sputtering. I reckon it's possibly common rail high pressure fuel pump issue which will necessitate removal of timing belt in which case replace timing belt as well as water pump because the water pump cannot be easily accessed. Plus battery. Plus dealer fat profits

Hehe big expense coming up me thinks

slightly OT but related to VW... they just had a segment on BBC's Watchdog about VW engines dying... hundreds of cases where, since VW replaced the false emissions software, engines have been dying. Everyone who called VW was told 'it's just your car, this hasn't happened to anyone else'... watchdog uncovered hundreds of similar incidents. so if anyone has the same problem, you're not alone.

A good quality second hand shipping container will cost about $3500 delivered.
There are a lot of shipping containers which have been on a one way from China. It's cheaper to flog it off here than to ship them back to where they came from.

My 2 were essentially new without any dents
