I'm going to give you an Easter Egg which will double as your birthday present Mr Showoff.

By the way Flashware, how's the running going? I was up at 0530 Saturday morning training. Then Sunday was swim training. Tonight I'm training for the drinking.......

Will the children bickering in the schoolyard kindly defer their activities until after school hours

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I take it I don't have to buy drinks at Brisbane drinks night? :p

My birthday is a national holiday this year, so nerr!
How about next year? :p

*my birthday falls on a Vic public holiday every seven years and I get a long weekend 3 time in every seven years.
And my birthday falls 2 days after Valentine's Day every year.

Happy birthday JohnK! Maresi! (spelling?)
Kai mena m'aresi para poli....

M4 road toll (Sydney) to cease from 16 February.

I think this goes part of the way to recognising the importance of the day of my birth. Don't be too surprised if this day also becomes a State Public Holiday possibly even a National Holiday. :p
And my parents anniversary!

I'm more than happy to shout you a drink - although it would be in a local pub here, so you'd have to fly over to collect it.

Perhaps instead I should have a drink for you instead!

Am wanting a trip to Oz shortly, and nearly pushed the buy button on one a couple of days ago ... but sanity prevailed. Perhaps after my new status year starts in a couple of weeks.

I heard some hapless soul having "Happy Birthday" being sung to them yesterday while I was wandering around some dark parts of Essex.

Sharing birthday with V-Day would be quite annoying, just like sharing it with Christmas/New Years or around that period.

Oh - your birthdate is shared with something special. In 1999 and 2018 (and I'm sure there are others), Feb 16 is Chinese New Year.

Highly unlikely given my current financial situation but please have a drink for me and my health.

Not if you have a mother like mine. She still buys presents for each special occasion.

So even the Chinese knew that someone special would come along and scheduled an important event for the day of my birth.

Makes me feel a lot better than the senseless coup at the social golf club yesterday....

I couldn't find a candle, so you can have a light bulb instead

Happy Birthday JohnK!

Here's to many happy returns.

16 Feb was CNY in the following years:

1923
1980
1999

and of course 2018.

I assume you weren't born in 1923  (and neither 1980 ) , so you were probably not born on CNY. Would be interesting for some to be born on CNY.

Reading through one of the weekly ATSB incident summary reports:

23/01/10 - Melbourne Aerodrome
AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A320-232

During the take-off run, the aircraft struck a brown falcon.

I wonder who left their falcon sitting on the runway?

Are consecutive threads still destined for expungement?

The way's it's been raining in SE Qld over the last few weeks, I thought they needed a ford ....

Congrats to JohnK on his auspicious day.
Also congrats to Flashware-well done.
Makes me feel old though-I have my 40th anniversary of graduation on this Saturday.

Happy birthday for today, JohnK.

Congratulations Flashware.

We need a ford this morning, bucketed down for about an hour very heavily (was the thunderstorm they predicted). God's still moving furniture as I speak.

Congrats to JohnK on his auspicious day.

You would just have been a scum Freshman when I graduated (even allowing for the length of your course, but not necessarily allowing for any failed years)
