Got a profile report card on my Smith Family sponsor kid.

Shes 10, she lives in NT and Im really worried about how far behind she is in writing and spelling.

We have central airconditioning in our home that is barely adequate in winter. We installed a "Real Flame" "Captiva" gas log fire which has a fan in it so it throws out a lot of hot air while looking good and there's no mess. Also has a wireless remote which is programmable to turn on in morning and evening and off in late evening. Very happy with installation and service and can highly recommend them. With the aircon set to fan only, it distributes warmth adequately throughout the house.

The cats and dog think it's their best friend.

I quite like wood pellet heaters. Something like these:
Wood Pellets are sold in 15-20kg bags. Comes from sawdust. Looks like pelleted kitty litter. Very easy to clean

Hi...Down to our last lot of wood so thinking of giving away the open fireplace and installing one of those gas fired real flame fireplaces instead..have no idea what make or what is the best buy...would need a decent heat output but we do have gas central heating too..Do you buy now or wait till Summer sales - perhaps it does not make any difference but anyone with any tips/experience on what to look for would be gratefully received. I am in Melbourne and its feels like one of the coldest winters to me, sad to see the open fire go but the price of wood is crazy

Certain parts of Victoria you're allowed to collect firewood.

One out of left field for all the experts on diet but good news for lovers of bacon and marbled beef-

High carbohydrate intake was associated with higher risk of total mortality, whereas total fat and individual types of fat were related to lower total mortality. Total fat and types of fat were not associated with cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, or cardiovascular disease mortality, whereas saturated fat had an inverse association with stroke. Global dietary guidelines should be reconsidered in light of these findings.

In Sri Lanka the hotel provided some free gingernut biscuits. Very nice with a hot cup of tea. Nothing I've found in Aus resembles them until today when I bought some gingernut biscuits from IKEA.

I couldnt find any Biscoff at Coles on the weekend - hubby was not happy and blames Delta for getting him addicted to them.

Is FB the answer here, advice please ... After a truly fruitless, frustrating and incompetence ridden purchase and then cancellation of a DJs washing machine online using my new DJs AMEX card, I'd like to know how to complain publicly.

I already outlined my feedback after they sent an email asking if my purchase went well, hoping that goes back to DJs directly.

As an absolute last resort I have had good luck calling out companies on Twitter.

Everytime a female employee goes to a particular factory of ours, the factory manager says, "Dont forget to bring a cake or goodies for morning tea". To the point that these people feel pressured to do it and are out of pocket.

He has never once requested the same from a male staff making an appointment to visit the site.

After my conversation with him today, he will never say it again.

Not liking this Melbourne weather. How is this the world's most livable city? I ask you.

Fair enough.
Twitter is simple enough because I use it only for this exact reason.

But best of luck and I hope you get something from it,what ever you do.
Twitter is not that easy to read/follow but appears to be the way to go if needing action from businesses who have poor customer care.
