Carol now talking about how she cut off her mum and siblings due to toxic behaviours but she expects a share of the estate when she dies.

Yep, just a horrible person.
Unless it’s written into the will with an arguable reason why she is excluded then she is entitled to receive a share of the estate.

My sister, who hasn't spoken to our mum in 20yrs, plans to contest my mums will.

I refuse to. Move on.

For our business we start receiving calls this week that go like this.
Well I’ve got the wife, kids and dog loaded in the car.....Now how do I get my irrigation system to run on auto?
I won’t complain as being a wholesaler /manufacturer is a lot of fun. Many think I am staying there just for the frequent flyer points and miles.
By the way JohnK you could try Rogaine or Propecia to get hair regrowth. Some men merely get a peach like amount of hair from these products rather than a Shane Warne hair transplant finish.

Is anyone else crazy like me and actually enjoy the last major shop before Christmas - going of course very early?
So many things to buy, I don’t understand why (I need to buy them).
Friday is the last day of fresh fruit and veg so makes sense to finish tomorrow.
Younger son gets only PH and on standby. Works in refrigeration mechanics. Air conditioning in commercial premises.
Bad timing. One of 2 lifts died this morning in busy Burnside Village shopping. It’s an elderly demographic and 2 levels = bedlam later.

I do love Christmas. First time in many years all the family is together bar my mum who died this time 2 years ago. She would have loved it. Four kidlets under 6 and one almost due. All the cousins and partners plus brother and I her kids. The year she died being Christmas week I was too much in shock to miss her. Last year we had other major family cough so was completely preoccupied. The other day I saw a lady who looked like mum and was really sad. Then I realised it was the first Christmas I had time/energy to grieve her. Delayed grieving indeed. Maybe a baby Christmas Day?

Carol says the only thing that will make Carol feel validated and vindicated is money "after all of this".

Nows she's naming Chiefs and judges names.

Maybe her co workers dislike her because of her personality.
I think I can solve this! So, after careful reading and consideration, I conclude that Carol's the one eating the peanut butter and toasted cheese?

No. I was working in IT before PCs were that popular and well before mobile phones.

Life was much simpler.
Went to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View (San Francisco) today. It was terrific, starting with early calculating devices - Napier’s Bones, babbage’s engines, abacus, slide rules and going all the way through the computing era.

Definitely a trip down nostalgia lane for us, with card punches (remember punching up programs on cards!), flow chart stencils and coding sheets. They had an amazing collection of actual hardware from the various eras as well as very well put together oral histories.

GarrettM never rush the purchase of a fridge. You will not be happy with it. We had one conk out on December 23rd so we had a pick of awful ones on showroom floors to get a replacement on Christmas Eve.

We've actually been looking on and off for a while, but were reluctant to add to our debt burden. Now we just kinda have to do it.

She's found one she thinks will do the job we need, so hopefully it can be delivered tomorrow.

I cleaned out all the cough from under the other one last night and the smell remains. That's not livable.

That fridge was destined to go outside as my beer/bait fridge, but even that's in doubt now.

Enjoy Christmas and who knows there might be a baby. My brother was born on 27th Dec. Mum was relieved that when Dad died it was Boxing Day so not on either Christmas Day or brother’s birthday. Over 20 years ago now and to think we thought it would be mum to peg out first!

I've been wondering where you've been and was hoping all was OK on your front! I'm not sure I want the baby to arrive on Christmas Day - son's partner is a GP but she will be enjoying her tucker and sparkles so it could get a bit awkward. She did come to the rescue on a wedding day when the bride got her hand caught in a metal spring on a chair and ended up in hospital with her. After they returned a sheepish guest who was a plastic surgeon outed herself. Bride had had too many bubbles to be in much pain but she ruined her dress with blood!

I was plotting my husbands death and he just texted that he found the below beanie and bought it for me (in diff colour) for Scotland.

I cant wear beanies because of my hair (I prefer ponytails or having my hair up) and this is what he got me.

How can I kill him now? Very excited to try this.

When are you going to Scotland Denali? I know the weather can be changeable but the last few times I have been (April and July) the most I needed was a light jumper even up north. T shirts were the go. Do you feel cold even at quite mild temperatures?

Well it’s a weird feeling for me. For the first time in 30 years I won’t be making a big Christmas dinner! We usually have around 14 for lunch. We raced around on Sunday cancelling things - the butcher was quite happy, as he said he can always get rid of one of his hams. (They are so nice - preservative free and not pumped full of water). We phoned the seafood people and paid for the seafood on order - 5 lobsters, 3 kg prawns and 3 doz oysters. Ms FM and Dr FM are in charge of making sure they get eaten. The lobsters are so nice - come up from the coast. I am missing all my once a year favourites!

I had already bought trifle biscuits and jellies and things, but they can be used later. All the lovely Haighs Christmas chocolates also given to Ms FM - there is now a Christmas get together at her house I think. :).

Our plans are still unsure - we might be in San Francisco for Christmas, we might be in the air. This is really living life on the edge :)

Finally, officially on holiday! Feels very good after a hectic but great year.
Doesnt it! I finished yesterday, and have already had my boss in touch because he went in to the office but forgot his keys and wanted to know where mine were

Waiting for ferry to Kangaroo Island.

We were suppose to be on 6pm boat, I allowed for plane delays, but bumped to 3pm ferry.

Will be looking for some fish and chips on the other side!

Stopped at Coles on the way, ready for zombie apocalypse with drinks, fruit and snacks if it happens.
